For some Sundays now, we’ve been on a journey of stillness, yesterday, through Pastor Olamide, we received yet another refreshing insight.
Sermon topic: Navigating Life’s Crossroads Through Stillness
Bible text: Proverbs 14:10

A life’s crossroads is a defining moment where a decision must be made, the one that has the power to shape the direction, quality, and meaning of your life.

We encounter two kinds of decisions:
1. Routine decisions: simple, everyday choices like what to eat or wear.
2. Critical decisions: life-shaping choices such as your partner, career path, and purpose. These are the ones that can make or mar you.

How then do we navigate these moments?
1. Search: Turn to God’s Word. Let Scripture guide you, especially in crucial moments. (Psalm 119:105)
2. Seek: Go to God in prayer. Trust Him fully and remain yielded to His will. (Proverbs 3:5)
3. Sit: Surround yourself with godly counsel. Wisdom grows in the company of the wise. (Exodus 18:13–24)
4. Seize: Step out in faith. Act on the direction God has given you.

Last Sunday was a powerful and impactful session with Pastor Moses. He delivered an inspiring message on:
“Embracing Stillness (A Stage of Awareness)”
Text: Jeremiah 1:4, Matthew 5:13

Key points
Before you can embrace stillness, you must be transformed from within. Transformation happens when you study and engage the Word of God.
God’s Agenda
1. That you are transformed
2. That you transform the world

Three Areas God Wants You to Be Conscious Of
1. Your Salvation – God wants you to be saved
2. Your Personal Transformation – God wants you to grow and be changed
3. Your Influence – God wants you to transform the world

How Stillness Sustains Our Awareness
1. It helps you discern truth early
2. It causes you to walk in wisdom and purpose
3. It enables you to influence society with grace and integrity
4. It helps preserve righteousness in a corrupt world

How to Be Still and Remain the Salt (Matthew 5:13)
1. Spend time daily in God’s presence (Cultivating quiet communion)
2. Meditate on Scripture (Allowing the Word to shape your awareness)
3. Guard your heart from noise (Limit distractions and unnecessary influences)
4. Live intentionally (Habakkuk 2:3) Be deliberate about your walk with God. Reflect Christ in your character
