Tribute to Missionary Jimmy Ammons

"Faithful Servant, Enduring Legacy"

Pastor/ Missionary Jimmy Ammons embodied unwavering dedication to God's calling, leaving an indelible mark on Nigeria's spiritual landscape. As a missionary, his selfless service inspired countless lives ( including me), fostering hope, love, and commitment.

His tireless efforts to spread the Gospel, coupled with compassion and kindness, earned him reverence and admiration.

Through trials and triumphs, Pastor Ammons remained steadfast, trusting God's plan. His legacy serves as a testament to the transformative power of faith and commitment. As we honor his life and work, we are reminded of the profound impact one person can have on others, and the enduring power of love, faith, and service.

May his story inspire future generations to follow in his footsteps, spreading hope and joy to those in need.

We are grateful to God for the success of the ordination service and ceremony yesterday the 13th of August 2023, it was no doubt a success story, we give God all the glory.

We appreciate all the officiating ministers, and pastors who came from far and near to grace the occasion, we say thank you for partnering with us.

The charge to the ordinand yesterday was given by Revd. Adewale Adesina, of Grace and Glory Baptist Church, Abuja, and it was titled "Stay Small" taking from (1 Samuel 15: 16-20).

It is our prayers and desire that the Lord who has called these men, will continue to use them to the glory of his name.

S.M.I.T.E 2023 UPDATE

We give God all the glory for this year's edition of Students Mission Institute for Training In Evangelism (S.M.I.T.E). It is indeed a success, a good success for that matter.

We are grateful to God for allowing us as a church to partner with this great work and efforts to reach children in Ogbomoso. We are so excited for the numbers of children who were reached this week with the gospel and most importantly those that asked Jesus to be their Lord and savior.

This year's edition was unique, as the students that came and enrolled rose from the usual 110/120 in the past years to 154 this year. Personally, I expected a very low attendance because of the hardship in the country, and the high cost of transportation, but instead of a reduction, we witnessed an increase in attendance.

I want to use this medium to congratulate all S.M.I.T.E TEAM, the African founder of smite, Pastor Mark Holmes, the African director, Pastor Adewale Adesina, and the blitz coordinator, Evangelist Babatunde Ajayi. It is our prayers that both the time and resources expended will count for the glory of God.

As a church family, we rejoice with and celebrate two of our members who had their birthdate recently, Ojetayo Blessing (08/08) photograph unavailable and Hon. At SMITE 2023 in Ogbomoso, new record is being set as the camp opens on Sunday with over a hundred students registered and by the time we close today we have a record breaking number of 154 students who had registered.

This is indeed the Lord's doing and it is marvelous in our eyes, that even at this hard and difficult time, when we were even contemplating a very low attendance the Lord surprised us by giving us 154. Surely, our God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above what we ask or think according to the power that worketh in us.

Keep us in prayer for the rest four days.

The service will come up in our church auditorium on 13th of August 2023. Join us as we celebrate God's goodness and faithfulness over His church and His men.
