The readers will find this book an interesting reading as the author writes without much technical details, and offers help on how to interpret the Bible accurately. I am glad The Task of Bible Interpretation is coming out at a time when many preachers think or assume one can teach the Bible or preach by just opening one’s mouth for the Holy Spirit to fill it. Those of us who teach “Biblical Interpretation” will find the book a good addition to the more technical texts. I commend the book to every pastor and those in training. It will provide simple insights into the difficult, but necessary task of Bible interpretation. Our churches will do well to get copies for their Sunday School teachers and other church workers who are involved in teaching the Word of God.
