The tongue has no bone, yet it breaks hearts."

Words carry power.

A single sentence can build trust or destroy it. Words may be invisible, but their impact is deeply felt and often long-lasting.

Many wounds are not physical they come from what was said without thought.

Speak with intention. Once released, words cannot be taken back.

Tag someone whos' words you cherish so much.

Shalom

NIGERIAN BAPTIST *CONVENTION ANNOUNCES PRESIDENT-ELECT*

The Leadership and entire family of the Nigerian Baptist Convention have received with great joy the report of the Search Committee recommending Rev. Dr. David Olusola Idowu as the President-Elect of the Convention.

Following due process, the Committee has prayerfully and diligently presented Rev. Dr. Idowu—of Emmanuel Ajayi Dahunsi Memorial Baptist Church—as the nominee to succeed the incumbent President, Rev. Dr. Israel Adelani Akanji.

This recommendation is subject to formal ratification at the 113th Annual Convention in Session, scheduled to hold on 23rd April, 2026 in Abuja.

We give thanks to God for His guidance in this process and celebrate His faithfulness in raising leaders for His Church. We also appreciate the impactful and exemplary leadership of Rev. Dr. Akanji, whose tenure has been marked by dedication, stability, and spiritual growth within the Convention.

As a Conference, we prayerfully look forward to what God will accomplish through the incoming leadership, trusting Him for greater advancement, unity, and spiritual revival across all levels of the Convention.

Congratulations to Rev. Dr. David Olusola Idowu on this divine call to higher service.
We pray for wisdom, strength, and grace for the task ahead.

Signed:
Public Relations Officer (PRO)
