Living in Christ’s Authority
Bible Text:
“The LORD said to my Lord, ‘Sit at My right hand, until I make Your enemies Your footstool.’” — Psalm 110:1
Psalm 110 reveals that Jesus Christ, the Messiah, is seated at the right hand of God. This position represents honor, power, and supreme authority. Jesus confirmed this truth during His trial (Mark 14:62). Being seated at God’s right hand means that Christ rules over every enemy.
The Bible also teaches that believers are seated with Christ in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6). This shows that Christians are not weak or defeated. Through Christ, we share in His authority over sin, Satan, and every work of darkness. When believers understand their position in Christ, they can stand firm and enforce Christ’s victory in their lives and environment.
Believers are called to live as overcomers, not as victims, by exercising the authority Christ has given them.
Prayer Point:
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, help me to live in the authority I have in Christ. I reject fear and defeat, and I declare Christ’s rule over my life, family, and all that concerns me. Amen.
