CHRISTMAS EVE MESSAGE. 23122025.

TOPIC : EVENTS DURING CHRISTMAS EVE.

TEXT : LUKE 2 : 1 -- 5

1. INTRODUCTION :

Events during Christmas Eve denote " Advent Nativity" which points to the theological doctrine that Jesus Christ had no human father; Christians believe that Jesus's birth fulfilled Old Testament prophecies and was attended by miracles; thus, the Nativity is celebrated at Christmas.

Advent focus on arrival that has been awaited (especially of something momentous) the day before or the period immediately before birth is said to be Christmas Eve a day before Christmas.

While Christmas : Is a Greek compound word : Christ and Mas. Christ means the anointed person and mas is view as carnival or celebration. Thus, Christmas is celebration of the anointed person.

2. Doctor Luke and his substantive historical collation of Jesus' deeds recorded seven (7) events during Christmas eve in Luke 2 : 1 -- 5

2. i. Issued of a decree. Luke 2:1

2. ii. Census should be taken of the entire Ronan empire. Luke 2 : 1

2. iii. Pilgrimage of Sojourners to their respective earthly homes. Luke 2 : 3.

2. iv. Events of Ups and Downs : Nazareth in Galilee to Bethlehem in Judea. Luke 2 : 4

2. v. History and prophecies meet at Reality Juncture. Luke 2 : 4.

( An event that occurs at a critical time, when a critical decision must be made to shape the manner in which things must come together and connect for fulfilment ).

2. vi. Divine and earthly synergy. Luke 2 : 5.

2. vii. Hope of Sateriology ( Salvation). Luke 2 : 5.

3. CONCLUSION :

Events are inevitable in life while divine events are meant and decreed for divine goals and purposes. Events during Christmas eve pave way for authentic once and for all salvation therefore, is made free.

having a rational good name, will maintain the paradigm of a good instrument frequently useful to people and God ).

e. SUBMISSION.

( The Degree of a church worker submissiveness makes him kingdom candidate ) : Romans 12 : 3 -

A church worker who is always willing to submit to orders, directives, counsels, advises of people who are above him and also listen
to positive suggestions of others, will be a church worker crowned with humility, forgiveness ( Divine), flexibility, accommodative and hospitality .

f. BUILDER NOT DESTROYER.

( Every church worker must be a Spiritual Constructor ) : I King 6 : 7, Nehemiah 6 : 1 - 9.

A church worker is a builder who lay or builds on the already laid foundation, he is mindful, not to use any inferior things that can destroyed the effort of both past and present workers. Indeed he is a modefier, a developer, and one who always goes ahead of his subject in order to maintain legacies ).

g. RAISER NOT ERASER.

( Every church worker must be a lifter and a mentor ) : 1 Samuel 3 : 1 --11 & Romans 12 : 6 --8

A church worker endues with the spirit of Moses-Joshua style of leadership, will always discovered potentials, talenters, gifters, and zealers for the kingdom business.

3. CONCLUSION :

Can any good things come out of Nazareth ? Yes ! Because by analogy a church worker can be refer to Nazareth in the context of this sermon. The expectant of people, your subject and the giver of that office you hold or occupied, is SOMETHING GOOD SHOULD COME OUT OF YOUR NAZARETH.

Philip was bold enough to replied " COME AND SEE ! Brethren, People are waiting for God's manifestations through the TASK committed in your hands, and the singular purpose, God have commissioned you into the office you are is to display His goodness. Therefore, don't fail your Master, because rewards await

1. INTRODUCTION :

The concept of good, can be trace back to God, He is the source and perfection of all the goodness that is complete and absolute.

Today's topic " Can anything good come out of Nazareth ? Centered on JESUS, and how John's disciples deserted him and follow Jesus. (Jh 1 : 37 ). This happen when Andrew called Peter to follow Jesus, while Jesus extend his call to Philip ( Jh 1 : 43 ), and Philip in turn also inform Nathaniel that he has found the promising Messiah.(Jh 1 : 45 ).

But, Nathaniel responded with curiosity, his question help every nominated church workers, with a specific kingdom task, to paintakenly consider the SEVEN BASIC FUNDAMENTALS OF CHURCH WORKERS :

2. SEVEN BASIC FUNDAMENTALS OF CHURCH WORKERS :

a. CALL AND RESPONSE.

( Understand your Call and Response ) : John 1 : 26 - 27, 30 -- 34 .

Understand the nature of the office you occupied, it's guidelines, operational mode, area of juridesion, and it's Spiritual values.

b. SACRIFICIAL LIFE.

(Sacrificial life of Selfless and wholehearted Service ) : Romans 12 : 1 - 2 ; I I Samuel 24 : 21 -- 24 .

Church worker with a sacrificial life must showcase personal giving in monetary aspect, time conscious, availability, commitment, and readiness beyond the scope of his office ).

c. GOOD CHARACTERS AND VALUES.

( Many good must come out of your Nazareth ) : John 1 : 47, Matthew 5 : 13 --16 .

( You must proof to people as a church worker that the negative expectation of your Nazareth is positive, by being an exemplar of good characters and values, visionary oriented, a leader who project ahead, mindful of Acheivable Projects and above all spiritual inclining ).

d. VESSEL OF HONOUR.

( Potential Instrument of God ) : 2 Timothy 2 : 20 -- 21.
