📖``` MEMORY VERSE:``` _*"I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see" (REVELATION 3:18).*_

*Sharp spiritual sight unveils divine purpose, ignites faith, and provides direction on the path of destiny. Spiritual blindness prevents one from seeing the truth, consequently leading to deception, complacency and destruction.*

*In our text this morning, Jesus advised the Laodicean Church to anoint their eyes so that they could see clearly. An ointment was recommended, an "eye salve". It is a balm used to heal the eyes of any lump or bulge that causes blurry vision or blindness.*

*God is teaching us wisdom this day that we should apply spiritual ointment on our spiritual eyes so that we can see clearly and move in the right direction. This ointment comes through the Holy Spirit who enlightens our hearts, gives us discernment and empowers us to embrace righteousness and walk in God's will.*

*If we miss this Holy Spirit-empowered ointment, we might not experience the fullness of God's given abilities available to us. Today, seek God's anointing, ask for revelation and clarity of purpose. Let His word be the eye salve that sharpens your vision, quickening you to discern the truth.*

*According to Leonardo da Vinci, "Water is the driving force of all nature." This statement is indisputable, especially in agriculture. _Water is life,_ so says an adage. The Word of God is pictured as water in the scriptures (Ephesians 5:26; Isaiah 55:10-11). The Lord Jesus Christ said: "...the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life" (John 6:63b).*

*The Word of God nourishes us to flourish. It:*

*(1) Converts the soul (Psalm 19:7a).*

*(2) Makes newborn babes in Christ to grow (1 Peter 2:2).*

*(3) Makes wise the simple (Psalm 19:7b).*

*(4) Rejoices the heart (Psalm 19:8a).*

*(5) Enlightens the eyes (Psalm 19:8b).*

*(6) Gives great reward when kept (Psalm 19:11).*

*(7) Gives prosperity and good success (Joshua 1:8).*

*Dear friend, the spiritual implication of the story of the riverside tree is that, for the believer to continually grow, flourish and be fruitful, he must be connected to God as his Source, and daily feed on His Word. However, he must avoid the polluting influence of spiritual vectors listed as the ungodly, sinners and the scornful (Psalm 1:1).*

*As a youth, you can flourish in your studies, entrepreneurial skill acquisition and Christian ministry if you are rooted in God's Word.*

*Michael Phelps, the most decorated Olympian of all time, faced numerous challenges on his journey to success. As a child, he was diagnosed with _Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD),_ but he struggled with focus.*

*He was relentless and diligent, channeling his energy into swimming. This paid off when he won eight gold medals in a single game at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. There is a great prize awaiting all those who will pay the price for both earthly success and heavenly crowns.*

*Apostle Paul tells us here that if we are going to win the prize of eternal glory, we must be ready to lay aside all distractions, or anything that will hinder us from focusing on the race that is set before us. He strove to be like Christ in all things. He did not allow pride of his accomplishments to hinder him from pursuing the righteousness of God.*

*We must be ready to drop all pleasure-seeking lifestyles that will rob us of eternal glory. We must be ready to leave the comfort zone of temporary success, and "come up higher."*

*In our text, Christ established the number of times we should forgive our offenders. He said, seventy times seven, that is 490 times. This is invariably a continuous forgiving lifestyle. Forgiveness is divinely exemplified by God. He forgives whenever we ask Him for forgiveness.*

*We must forgive those who offend us so that our Father can forgive us our trespasses too (Mark 11:25). Do not keep record of offences, this will enable us to forgive all offences without reference to previous ones. Humanly speaking, it is not easy to forgive offences, especially frequent ones from the same person.*

*Hence, David Yonggi Cho said that, "Forgiveness is so hard because the devil puts forth all his efforts to keep the memory of the pain there, lest we should forgive each other. But there is always great help available from the Holy Spirit, and that help is sufficient for every such need."*

*If you forgive, you are setting in motion spiritual and emotional impulses for your all-round health. Receive grace from Christ today to forgive all offences.*

*More than two decades ago, the richest man in the most populous black nation died leaving behind a lot of money, companies, houses, and so much, for the children to share.*

*About 103 people came up claiming to be children of the late rich man, but the first born refused to share the property; and after about 25 years, he told them to all go for a DNA test. It was published in the news that the DNA test revealed that only 55 were the real children of his late father.*

*A lot of people today claim to be sons of God, but the promises found in the text of today are for only true sons. Trying to learn the dressing, gait, and speech of the children of God doesn't qualify a person as one.*

*The true sons of God are saved by grace, and washed in the blood of the Lamb to have His true nature. Christ awaits the penitent sinner to receive and bestow His promises upon. Hence, no weapon of the enemy will prosper against you.*

*Thinking of entry into heaven with your good works or religion or wealth, amounts to self-deceit. Jesus Christ is the Gate-Pass. Acts 10:43 says, "To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins".*

*As a youth, ensure you secure the valid ticket through genuine salvation and always live a holy life with heaven in view. Strive to enter! If you are sure of your entry ticket, you should be concerned about the sinful state of your loved ones.*

*Moses presented before the Israelites with clear choices: life and good, or death and evil. He reminded them that God's commandments are not impossible to follow, but are instead near to them, in their mouths and hearts. He urged them to love and obey God, and to walk in His ways. If they did, they would live and multiply, and God would bless them in the land they were about to enter. However, if they turned away from God and worshipped other gods, they would surely perish.*

*Beloved, today's study emphasises the importance of obedience to God's commandments and the consequences of disobedience. What is your choice?*

*_International Day of the Boy-Child_ is a day set aside to celebrate boys and acknowledge their unique needs and challenges as they grow into men. It is a day meant to empower boys to become confident, respectful, and responsible persons, while emphasising the need for positive masculinity and their well-being.*

*From our text, we could see the boy Moses, who was born at a perilous time in Egypt. The Bible referred to him as a "goodly child," because there were great potentials in him.*

*Boys are specially endowed with special qualities that are peculiar to them. Physicality is peculiar to boys and should be positively used for the good of humanity. Some boys wrongly use the gift of masculinity to promote gendered behaviour like: sexual violence, hate speech and bullying against the girl-child. Moses used his special endowment from God for the good of humanity.*

*Boys need love and care to grow into responsible adults. Thus, boys should be helped early in life to accept Christ as their Lord to receive grace to fulfill the purposes of their lives, families, church and humanity.*

*Israel had just been delivered at the Red Sea from the scourge of the Egyptians. The Bible says, "And Israel saw that great work which the LORD did upon the Egyptians: and the people feared the LORD, and believed the LORD, and his servant Moses."*

*The immediate response of Moses after the Red Sea crossing experience was to compose a song of triumph to celebrate God's power, salvation and faithfulness. In part of this same song, Miriam led her women to sing with timbrels and dancing.*

*Church history is replete with Christian women who composed music or sang to God's glory. They include: F***y Crosby who sang - _"Blessed Assurance,"_ Adelaide Pollard, who penned down, _"Have Thine Own Way Lord,"_ and a host of other gospel singers, like Wanda Jackson, and Shirley Caesar.*

*Music also works miracles. Jehoshaphat and the children of Israel were delivered from the Moabites and the Ammonites when they began to sing and praise God, and the Lord ambushed the enemies, and they were smitten. Your miracle is in your mouth through music!*
