EMERGENCE OF A NEW PRELATE IN PCN
On Monday 15th August 2022, the deligates were subjected to a rigorous screening and accreditation process to ensure a free and fare election. Afterwards, a worship and an intensive prayer session seeking the face of the Lord towards sellecting the new leaders of The Presbyterian church of Nigeria followed before the commencement of the election.
Here are the candidates and their scores during the election;

Deputy Clerk (DC):
Rev Hossanah Ekop = 329 votes
Rev Victor Aniefiok = 475 votes

For the office of the Prelate
Rev Ekpeinyong Akpanika = 451 votes
Rev Daniel Etim = 354 votes

After the electioneering process,
Most Rev Ekpeinyong Akpanikan Emerged as the Prelate and Moderstor of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria while Rev Victor Aniefiok emerged as the Deputy Principal Clerk.
Immediately after the announcement of the results, the oath of office was taken for the new Prelate.
