*BREAKING BARRIERS - 3*
_*"Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone with shouts of 'Grace, grace to it!'" Zechariah 4:7.*_
*MESSAGE*
Some barriers are cultural and racial. Jesus Himself faced the prejudice of being associated with Nazareth, when Nathanael asked, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” Men may judge by background, tribe, accent, race, location, family history, or social status, but God does not measure destiny by human prejudice. What people despise, God can use mightily. Nazareth did not stop Jesus from fulfilling His mission. In the same way, no cultural label, racial barrier, or human stereotype can cancel what God has placed upon your life.
Some barriers are emotional. Elijah, after a mighty victory on Mount Carmel, became afraid, discouraged, and weary. He ran into the wilderness and felt alone in his assignment. This reminds us that even strong servants of God can face emotional battles. But God did not abandon Elijah in his weakness. He fed him, strengthened him, listened to him, corrected his perspective, and recommissioned him. Emotional heaviness is not the end of your calling. The God who restored Elijah can restore your strength, peace, and courage.
Some barriers are religious. The Pharisees were so focused on the letter of the Law that they became blind to the Spirit of it. Religion without the Spirit can become a barrier to truth, mercy, transformation, and divine revelation. The letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. Therefore, we must not allow prejudice, emotional heaviness, or lifeless religion to stand between us and God's purpose. Every barrier must bow before the grace of God. Speak to the mountain, trust the Spirit, and keep moving forward until your life becomes a testimony of grace.
