Beloved in Christ Jesus,

Greetings in the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! It is with great joy and thanksgiving that I write to you, dear brothers and sisters, knowing that the Lord has called you into His marvelous light and is strengthening you in your faith and fellowship. Though we may be separated by distance, my heart is ever close to you, and I continually lift you up in prayer before our Father in heaven.

I commend you for your steadfastness in the faith, your love for one another, and your commitment to the work of the Lord. Your dedication to gathering in worship, encouraging one another, and standing firm in the truth of the Gospel is a beautiful testimony to the power of God at work in your midst. Never grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you shall reap a harvest of righteousness if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9).

Be assured, dear ones, that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. Though challenges may arise, though trials may test your faith, remember that our God is faithful. He who called you is able to keep you and establish you firmly in His grace. Let nothing move you, but always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord (1 Corinthians 15:58). Stand firm, holding fast to the Word of Life, knowing that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6).

How I long to be with you, to share in the joy of your fellowship, to worship our King together, and to strengthen one another in love! Until that time comes, I entrust you to the hands of our faithful God, praying that He will keep you under His mighty wings, filling you with His peace and joy. May He pour out His blessings upon you abundantly, meeting every need and growing you in the knowledge of Him who called you.

Beloved, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Keep the faith, continue in love, and never cease to shine as lights in this dark world. You are dearly loved, and your faith is a blessing to many.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.

In His love and service,

Chidi Chibunna

Building On You Expectations; A New Creature

Text: 2Cor 5:17

Psa 51:10; Eze 11:19, Eze 18:31, Eze 36:26; Mat 12:33; Joh 3:3, Joh 3:5; Gal 6:15; Eph 2:10

Being a new creation in Christianity, as stated in 2 Corinthians 5:17, represents a profound transformation initiated by faith in Jesus Christ. This transformation involves both a departure from the old self and its associated behaviours and attitudes, and a transition towards a new identity characterized by the following aspects:

👌A new perspective: Believers acquire a new viewpoint, seeing the world through the lens of Christ rather than their own self-centered perspectives

👌A new heart: The Holy Spirit replaces the old sinful nature with a new heart, enabling Christians to overcome temptations and pursue righteousness

👌A new purpose: Believers receive a divine calling to glorify God and fulfill specific roles in advancing His kingdom.

👌A new community: Christians become members of the body of Christ, sharing a common bond with other believers and experiencing mutual support and encouragement.

👌A new future: Believers gain eternal life and the promise of resurrection, offering hope beyond death

👌A new freedom: Through Christ's sacrifice, believers are set free from the burden of guilt and shame, allowing them to embrace forgiveness and reconciliation.

This new creation is not merely a refinement of the old self but a complete renewal, making the individual a new entity, distinct from their pre-conversion state
While believers will still struggle with sin, they possess the power to resist temptation and grow in holiness throughout their lives. Ultimately, being a new creation in Christ offers the possibility of a radically transformed existence, rooted in the love and mercy of God.

Here are some practical ways to live as a new creation in Christianity:

✍️Renew your mind: As stated in Romans 12:2, renewing your mind is essential to living as a new creation. This involves replacing old thought patterns, attitudes, and behaviours with new ones that align with God's Word.

✍️Live by the Spirit: Galatians 5:16 encourages believers to walk by the Spirit and not gratify the desires of the flesh. This means relying on the Holy Spirit's power to resist temptation and live a life pleasing to God

✍️Seek fellowship with other believers: Being part of a community of believers can provide support, encouragement, and accountability in living out the Christian life

✍️Serve others: Jesus modelled a life of service, and as new creations, Christians are called to follow His example. Serving others can help demonstrate God's love and bring glory to Him.

✍️Share the Gospel: As new creations, Christians have a message of hope to share with others. Sharing the Gospel can help bring others into a relationship with Christ and experience the transformation that comes.

✍️ Pray: Prayer is a vital part of the Christian life and can help believers stay connected to God and seek His guidance in living as new creations.
By following these practical steps, Christians can live out their new identity in Christ and experience the transformation that comes with being a new creation.

It was great fellowship with the family of Israel Adagba today as we sang praises in appreciation to the Most High God for the great things He has continued to do in our midst.

I had the privilege to baptize some bachelors with powder.

This is just the begining of the Testimonies in Oba Congregation.

Glory be to the God.

WHAT MUST I BE TO BE SAVED?
I. We must be seekers.
A. A seeker is one who is looking for something.
1. On one occasion, a group of Greeks that had come to Jerusalem.
2. Notice their request of Andrew ...(John 12:21).
3. On another occasion, Andrew went to get Peter in order to meet
Jesus and said...(John 1:41).
B. You usually find things for which you are seeking.
C. It is extremely rare for someone to stumble upon Christianity.
D. We must be those who are seeking spiritual things and those who are
seeking to go to heaven.
E. If we truly seek, we will find (Matthew 7:8).
F. We have to be seeking things of a spiritual nature (Colossians 3:1-2).
G. We have to be seeking God (Hebrews 11:6).
H. Those things of a spiritual nature must be sought above all else (Matthew
6:33).
I. When we do that we can be saved.
II. We must be servants.
A. The first thing we need to realize about this is that we are all servants
(Romans 6:16-17).
1. We either serve righteousness or sin.
2. No person, no matter how high and mighty he or she may be, is not
a servant.
B. That being said, we must be willing to serve others (Matthew 23:11).
1. A saved person puts others before him or herself.
2. Ephesians 4:1-3.
C. The apostles had a problem with this, some wanting to be great.
1. Jesus said that was not how things worked in the kingdom.
2. Matthew 20:20-28.
D. We aren’t going to be saved looking to be served.
E. Our society is looking for handouts and to be served by others.
1. That has never been God’s intention.
2. One cannot be saved looking to be served by others.
F. Our Lord set the example for being a servant and we must follow that
example (Philippians 2:7).
III. We must be sufferers.
A. The New Testament speaks a great deal about suffering.
B. Paul put it rather bluntly...(2 Timothy 3:12).
1. If we live for Christ, we will suffer.
2. We need to be prepared for it.
C. Peter spoke about this as well (1 Peter 3:14-17).
1. Notice what he wrote in chapter 4 (vs. 16-19).
2. We are going to suffer.
a. We must suffer as a Christian.
b. The only way we will make it through the suffering to be right
with God is to commit ourselves to His care.
D. What will help us through the suffering is to remember His promise to us
(Romans 8:17).
1. Heaven will be worth it.
2. The suffering we endure can’t be compared to the glory that awaits
us.
3. Paul said something similar to Timothy (1 Timothy 2:12).
E. We also need to remember we have an example in suffering (1 Peter
2:21).
1. Not only Jesus, but Paul suffered (2 Timothy 1:12).
2. Moses suffered (Hebrews 11:24-25).
3. The prophets suffered (James 5:10).
4. Early Christians suffered (2 Thessalonians 1:5).
F. If all of these could suffer and make it through faithfully, we can as well.
IV. We must be students.
A. Those who would be saved must be those who grow (2 Peter 3:18).
B. Only the word of God allows us to grow spiritually (1 Peter 2:2).
C. Only be giving diligence to God’s word can we be approved before God (2
Timothy 2:15).
D. Paul commanded that the word of God dwell in us richly (Colossians
3:16).
1. The only way we can do that is to study.
2. We need to read and re-read.
3. We need to look up words and meanings of words.
E. On one occasion, Jesus told some Jews to search the scriptures.
1. They needed to study God’s word because they were wrong.
2. If we are saved or want to be saved, we need to search the
scriptures to make sure that what we are doing is right.
F. The Old Testament was written for our learning (Romans 15:4).
1. Learning takes study.
2. We must put forth effort to learn the lessons from God’s people
under the Mosaic Law.
3. We must put forth the effort to know what to do under the New
Testament.
G. The scriptures make one wise to salvation (2 Timothy 3:15).
1. They will make us wise only if we study them.
2. They will allow us to be saved only if we study them.
V. We must be searchers.
A. We need to be those who search for souls.
B. We aren’t going to heaven alone.
1. We need to be on the lookout for those who are seeking to be
saved.
2. We need to be on the lookout for those who are seeking something
different than what they currently have.
C. There are a multitude of lost people in this area.
1. Not all of them want to be lost.
2. Some are not happy with what they currently have and want
something different.
3. We must be searching for them.
D. Jesus told some of His disciples that they would become fishers of men.
1. Fishermen search out fish.
2. That is exactly what we must be doing.
E. Jesus came to seek and to save the lost (Luke 19:10).
F. That is our mission as well.
