ZECHARIAH: THE LORD WILL REMEMBER HIS PEOPLE
Zech.1:1-6,12-17;14:7-11,20-21
AIM: To assure believers that the current challenges are a passing cloud that will end in a glorious eternity for those who will stand the test of time.
LEARNING GOALS
By the end of this lesson, you should:
1. Affirm that the current situation those not mean God has abandoned him or her
2. Relate the present situation to God's promises and fulfilment to the Bible heroes.
3. Resolve to strengthen himself or herself so he or she can enjoy the promises of God here and hereafter.
TOPIC FOR ADULT: Better days ahead
Most times when problems overwhelm a person, he or she would not be able to think through. At such a time, such a person needs word of assurance that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. This was the message of God through Zechariah to the returning Jew's. If you are familiar with the Bible and contemporary history of God changing people's situation, it is an assurance that God is coming through for you in a short distant time.
TOPIC FOR YOUTH: God is not done with you.
Pick the biography or autobiography of any great man or woman in any field of human endeavor and it will reveal they once failed not once but several times in the past. There is one common denomination among them. They all overcame their failure. Good enough, you have a great God who was, who is, and who will continue to be. Therefore, your current situation is a mere transition.
TOPIC FOR INTERMEDIATE: You can rely on His promises for today and tomorrow.
By experience, your parent and loved ones have disappointed you on a few occasion before. That is because human beings are limited in resources. However, there is a God who knew you before you were conceived in your mother's womb. His promises cannot fail because He has your past, present and future in His care. Trust Him.

* As a man thinks, so he is. A man's future can not be secure more than his taught pattern.
* Keep your hope alive, return unto Him if you have missed your steps.
* If you move with pessimistic people, you will sink.
* Your hope depends on your level of faith.
