Panelists will be Rev. Concepción Maria Angel from the Lutheran Church of El Salvador, who is pastor of SPR’s sister church in El
Salvador and national coordinator of the church’s health programs, and Dr. Ibrahim Bitrus, a Nigerian from the Lutheran Church of Christ, who recently obtained his doctorate in theology from Luther Seminary. We invite you and all who are interested and involved in companion church relationships to join us for this opportunity to draw closer to brothers and sisters from these churches in exploring Lutheran beliefs and practices and their relationship to our respective cultures and histories. Prayer of God's Saving Action
As your people gather in Nigeria from February 4-8, keep them safe. Let any plans by evil-doers be stopped. As you protected your people in Old Testament times, as you saved Paul and Silas in the book of Acts, as you have protected your children over and over, so keep in your care the Lutheran Christians who will gather in convention. Let their travels be safe. Let their convention be fruitful. Let their homecomings be joyful. In Jesus' name we ask these things. Amen.

We hope you plan to join us tomorrow (Dec 7th) at 5pm at Lake Nokomis Lutheran Church for a prayer vigil honoring our brothers and sisters in the LCCN. The service should last about 45 minutes and will be followed by some fellowship time. An offering will also be taken for Lutheran Disaster Response.

We ask for your prayers as we have learned that the Boko Haram has moved into the village of Pella where St Paul Reformation Church is partnered. Our guests from Nigeria that were here at the end of September were from Pella. Please pray for all members of this community.
