2:14 Since all the children share the same human nature, he too shared equally in it, so that by his death he could set aside him who held the power of death, namely the devil,.
2:15 and set free all those who had been held in slavery all their lives by the fear of death.
2:16 For it was not the angels that he took to himself; he took to himself the line of Abraham.
2:17 It was essential that he should in this way be made completely like his brothers so that he could become a compassionate and trustworthy high priest for their relationship to God, able to expiate the sins of the people.

How many of us can stand the test by afflictions?
🎤 *Listen,* In Christiandom today no one want to be tested, all we pray for is miracle and prophecy, very few of us prays for Holiness. Why? Because suffering is not our portion so we claim, forgetting that the man we are Ambassadors for made us who we are by suffering and death. And He is ever ready to help us go through our sufferings, for many are the afflictions of the righteous but God delivers us in them all.

All that we pass through be it sickness, afflictions, temptation, etc is to know how faithful we are to Him{God} check the life of job, Abraham, Joseph, Moses, David, Elijah, all the great men and women in the Bible, it wasn't easy for them. They were tested and proven to be worthy of God's love and friendship..

2:18 For the suffering he himself passed through while being put to the test enables him to help others when they are being put to the test.
*Prayer* may God help us go through this sainthood with patience and love that He may find us trust worthy when he comes in glory.
