ECWA Makurdi DCC Children Week of Prayer — Excerpt
The ECWA Makurdi DCC Children Week of Prayer 2026 came to a glorious close on 9th August 2026, after a wonderful and spiritually enriching week of worship, learning, and celebration.
The programme featured inspiring activities such as drama presentations, newscasting, special song ministrations, memory verse recitations, Bible presentations, and other children-focused activities that showcased the gifts and talents God has deposited in the lives of the children.
The week centred on the powerful message, “This Little Light of Mine,” in line with the ECWA Theme of the Year: “Keep Your Lamps Burning.” The children were encouraged to let the light of Christ shine through their words, actions, character, and daily lives, becoming shining examples in their homes, schools, churches, and communities.
It was indeed a memorable and impactful week, filled with joy, worship, spiritual growth, and renewed commitment to keeping the light of Christ burning brightly. We give all glory to God for the success of the programme and for the lives touched throughout the week.

A recent evangelism outreach in Okundi and Oku Bushuyo communities in Boki LGA of Cross River State was a remarkable success. The team passionately shared the Gospel with a large number of people, reaching many homes and individuals with the message of Christ. The response was overwhelming, as many people openly received the Word and gave their lives to Christ, marking a significant spiritual impact in the communities.
The outreach was marked by unity, dedication, and visible transformation among the people. After accomplishing their mission, the team returned safely and joyfully to Makurdi, today at about 10:35pm grateful for the success of the outreach and the lives that were touched.
