We undertake divine and unquestionable task as directly delivered by Jesus Christ. God evenly distributed His task to his people and only the obedient and the zealous can undertake them. When we hear God, He expects us to obey! When we obeyed, He expects immediate action! Now listen; “The LORD had said to Abram, "Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will
show you.” Gen 12:1
(God has spoken and was clearly heard)
“So Abram departed, as the LORD had directed him”. Gen 12:4
(After hearing Him, humble obedience followed)
Gen 12:5-6 “And Abram took his wife Sarai, his nephew Lot, and all the possessions and people they had acquired in Haran, and set out for the land of Canaan. Abram traveled through the land as far as the site of the Oakc of Moreh at Shechem”. (After our humble obedience, Immediate Action followed)
A clear declaration of God when heard, cannot easily be refuted by the hearers. God also clearly declares to us what we should do. Acts 8:26, “An angel of the Lord spoke to Philip saying, ‘Arise and go south to the road that descends from Jerusalem to Gaza.’” Acts 8:29-30, “The Spirit said to Philip, ‘Go up and join this chariot.” So Philip ran up to it and heard him reading the prophet Isaiah out loud. Philip asked, “Do you understand what you’re reading?
“Jesus states Peter’s task in three words, “Feed my sheep”
Peter would understand that the “sheep” Jesus referred to were people. Peter was to lead people to the green pasture that gives everlasting life. The world today is full of “pastors” (shepherds) engaged in all kinds of “ministries” (services). But with what food are these shepherds serving the Lord’s sheep? That's a question worth thinking about now. Shall we feed the Lord’s sheep with stories and personal testimonials, social and political discussion, irrelevant religious issues, philosophy and popular psychology, miracle meetings, pampering and drooling in sin and feel-good entertainment? In some quarters the pastors and ministers may need to prayerfully focus on those three words, “Feed my sheep” (John 21:17), and examine what food they provide the flock of Christ. Peter offers three words of his own: “Speak God’s words” You too have sheep and lambs to nurture and feed. For food you have the words of God that were given to Peter's generation and have been passed on down to you in scripture. Jesus says to you, “Feed my sheep”. John 21:17, 1Peter 4:11
The last appellation of our obedience;
“For the Son of Man came to SEEK and to SAVE THE LOST.” Luke 19:10
“GO into all the world and PREACH THE GOSPEL to all creation.” Mk 16:15
Here stands the mark of my high callings of God in Christ Jesus. Phil 3:14, sprouting of CFAM_INTERDENOMINATIONAL WORLD EVANGELISM MANDATE. (SEEKING THE LOST, FEEDING THE SHEEP)
