I have a message for YOU!
Continuing from yesterday discussion, there is a story in the bible that I will like us to critically look into.
The story is about the 12 spies that Moses the servant of God sent to investigate the land of Canaan. You will find the story in the book of Numbers Chapter 13:31- 33 and Chapter 14:1-4 &26-28.
Ten out of these spies came back with bad news concerning the land they went to investigate, let me just paraphrase their speech, "we are not able to go after the people, they are stronger than us. The land is a land that consume it's people. Moreover, we saw the people of huge stature on the land, the descendants of Anaks, when we sighted them, we were just like grasshopper π¦ in our own eyes and as well as in their view of us."
They came with this report and the whole camp turned mournful and everyone began to weep. Why? Because of their mental picture of the situation at hand. They had envisaged a doom regarding their future.
Confession/declaration/affirmation that will produce any result must be the verbalisation of that which you have honestly envisioned! Confession doesn't always make you to automatically possess what you are confessing or declaring.
Visualization of that which you are hoping to get in God is the power that will turn your hopes and dreams in God to a manifest reality.
You could be declaring the reality or evidence of what you do not have. Meanwhile, the scriptures vividly regard faith as an evidence of yet to be manifested reality (Hebrews 11:1).
Those Israelites in our story had visualised that the dwellers of Canaan were too big and too powerful for them to face. Thus, they began to cry and weep even though no battle yet but they have visualised a defeat for themselves.
No creative or supernatural power is released when the words of your mouth are not in consonance with your mental picture of the subject! But you must understand that whether you are conscious or not, creative power is in full operational force according to your visualization/envisage or mental picture of whatever it is you are praying about.
Do you want to see positive results in your faith walk with God, learn to visualise matter before just declaring/affirming/confessing otherwise, you might just be talking yet saying nothing.
Shalom
