CAC DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE (THE LIVING WATER) MONDAY, JUNE 6, 2016

TOPIC : YOUR VISION NEEDS MISSION
READ : HABAKKUK 2:1-3
MEMORISE : For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger,wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay. (Hab 2:3)

Unlike in the past,many organizations and religious bodies have started having VISION and MISSION statements. The vision and mission of an organization differs from another due to nature,nurture and conviction of the leader of each establishment. God Himself, right from the creation of the universe, had a vision for His creatures (Gen 1:26). Vision,in this context,refers to your dreams,hopes or aspirations, while mission tells us about the task you need to accomplish to realise that dream (vision).

It is normal that every human being has a vision to accomplish in life. God did not create us for fun; it is to fulfil a particular purpose. He has good thought right from the beginning (Jeremiah 29:11). He also empowers us to have dreams and visions about the future. We should not only be happy about this,but also be appreciative of His magnanimity.

Meanwhile,the bottleneck remain how to accomplish our visions with effective missions. It is good to be visionary, but it is playing to be gallery if the vision lacks effective corresponding mission. Vision can only be realised if it is pursued with God - given mission. Consider Joseph in the Bible. He saw his glorious future and knew he had to work towards it. He was so sure of this. Despite the temporary setbacks, he got to its fulfilment. Fulfilment becomes more certain when the vision (to begin with) comes from God. All you will become in life resides in you. This is the vision. Get yourself engaged in God - given productive activities. Know that your vision is a divine mandate that you must accomplish by embarking on meaningful mission. God will help you as you wait on Him for His help.

PRAYER POINTS
1. LORD, help me to be sensitive to your leading in the process of accomplishing the vision YOU have given me in life.
2. I refuse to die unfulfilled in this one-time opportunity I have received from YOU
3. Pray that God should help our government to accomplish their lofty manifestos for the benefit of the masses.
