Sermon Topic: Fruit Of The Spirit, The Mark of a Mature Christian
Text: (Galatians 5:22โ24)
Preacher: Rev Lekan Adeyi
Today was a beautiful and memorable service as we not only reflected on spiritual maturity, but also celebrated our graduating Sunbeams โ our precious children (ages 1โ10) stepping into a new level of growth. ๐
Just as we honored their transition, we were reminded that growth is Godโs expectation for every believer.
Spiritual maturity is not measured by titles or activity, but by character โ the life of Christ formed in us.
โจ A mature Christian:
- Reflects Christโs character
- Is led by the Spirit, not the flesh
- Lives a stable, obedient, and consistent life
๐ The Fruit of the Spirit is revealed in:
- Godward traits: Love, Joy, Peace
- Relational traits: Patience, Kindness, Goodness
- Personal discipline: Faithfulness, Gentleness, Self-control
๐ Just like our Sunbeams are growing into a new stage, we also must grow by:
- Abiding in Christ
- Walking daily in the Spirit
- Feeding on Godโs Word and prayer
- Living in obedience
๐ฅ Key Truth:
No death to the flesh, no growth in the Spirit.
๐ Reflection:
Which fruit is lacking in your life? Are you truly Spirit-led?
๐ก Call to Action:
Surrender daily, yield to the Spirit, and live intentionally.
โก๏ธ A mature believer is not just one who knows Christ, but one who reflects Him consistently.
๐ Congratulations to our graduating Sunbeams! We celebrate your growth and pray for greater heights in your journey with God.
