Kingdom Lifee Assembly (KLA) SUNDAY | BELIEVERS’ BALANCED GROWTH

Today’s KLA Sunday at Jubilee Baptist Church was a powerful reminder that becoming a believer is not the end of the journey. it is the beginning of a lifelong journey of growth and transformation.

Topic: Believers’ Balanced Growth
Bible Text: Galatians 5:19–21

A believer is not called to grow in only one area of life. God desires a balanced and comprehensive growth that reflects the character of Christ in every aspect of our lives.

KEY LESSONS FROM TODAY’S MESSAGE

1. Spiritual growth begins with the work of the Spirit.
True Christian growth begins from within. As we yield ourselves to the Holy Spirit, the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control—becomes evident in our lives.

2. Growth produces Christlike character.
Spiritual maturity is not measured merely by how much we know, how long we have been in church, or the gifts we possess. It is seen in the character we demonstrate and the way we relate with God and people.

3. Believers must pursue balanced growth.
We are to grow spiritually, physically, emotionally, morally, intellectually, financially and comprehensively. God is interested in the whole person, and our Christian walk should influence every area of our lives.

4. Spiritual gifts must be accompanied by spiritual fruit.
Having spiritual gifts is valuable, but gifts without godly character can become ineffective. The goal is not merely to manifest the gifts of the Spirit but to develop the character of Christ.

5. Growth requires intentional and continuous development.
Nobody becomes spiritually mature accidentally. Growth requires consistency and deliberate pursuit through:

- Prayer
- Bible study
- Fellowship
- Service to God
- Walking daily in the Spirit
- Obedience to God’s Word

6. A growing believer becomes visible to others.
Our growth should not remain hidden. As Christ is formed in us, people around us should be able to see the evidence through our conduct, speech, relationships, service and response to difficult situations.

7. Do not allow the failures of others to stop your growth.
People may offend, disappoint or hurt us, but spiritual maturity teaches us to forgive and keep growing. We must not allow another person's weakness to become an excuse for our own spiritual stagnation.

A CHALLENGE FOR EVERY BELIEVER

The question is not simply, “Am I growing?” but:

“Am I growing in a balanced way?”

Are you growing in your relationship with God?
Are you becoming more Christlike in character?
Are you developing intellectually and emotionally?
Are you becoming a better steward of your gifts, resources and responsibilities?
Can people around you see evidence of your growth?

Christianity is a journey of continuous transformation. We must keep growing until Christ is increasingly reflected in every area of our lives.

May God help us to grow not just bigger, but better; not merely gifted, but godly; not only knowledgeable, but Christlike.

SUNDAY SERMON | FULFILLING ALL RIGHTEOUSNESS

Topic: Fulfilling All Righteousness — Water Baptism
Text: Matthew 3:1–17

Today’s teaching took us into a deeper understanding of water baptism and its place in the life of a believer. Baptism is not merely a religious ceremony or an act of getting wet; it is a powerful public declaration of faith, identification with Christ, and obedience to His command.

KEY LESSONS FROM TODAY’S MESSAGE

1. John’s Baptism vs. Christian Baptism
John’s baptism was a baptism of repentance, preparing people for the coming Messiah. Christian baptism, however, follows faith in Jesus Christ and identifies the believer with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection.

2. Why Was Jesus Baptized?
Jesus was sinless, so His baptism was not an act of repentance from personal sin. Rather, He declared that it was necessary to “fulfil all righteousness” (Matthew 3:15), identifying Himself with God’s redemptive purpose and marking the beginning of His public ministry.

3. Baptism Is Part of Christian Discipleship
Jesus commanded His followers to baptize those who become His disciples. Baptism therefore forms part of the believer’s journey of discipleship and publicly declares belonging to God—the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

4. Baptism Identifies Us With Christ
The immersion beautifully portrays three realities:

• Going into the water — identification with Christ’s death
• Beneath the water — identification with His burial
• Coming out of the water — identification with His resurrection

The goal is not merely to come out of the water, but to “walk in newness of life.” — Romans 6:3–4

5. Faith Comes Before Baptism
Repentance and faith precede baptism. The believer publicly confesses Christ, puts on a Christ-centred identity, and joins the visible community of Christ’s followers.

6. Baptism Does Not Save — Faith Saves
Salvation is God’s gift by grace through faith, not by a ceremony or human work. Baptism is the public declaration of the salvation already received and an act of obedience to Christ.

7. The Water Must Point to a Changed Life
Baptism should be accompanied by a genuine transformation of life. We are called to die to the old life and walk in holiness, truth, forgiveness, love, obedience, and purity.

THE BIG QUESTION

It is possible to enter the water without allowing the reality of baptism to transform our lives. Therefore, the question is not merely:

“Have I been baptized?”

but:

“Am I walking in the new life that my baptism declares?”

The early Church consistently demonstrated the pattern: the gospel was heard and believed, and baptism followed.

SEVEN TRUTHS DECLARED IN WATER BAPTISM

• Identification with Christ
• Death to the old life
• Burial of the old life
• Resurrection to new life
• Public confession of faith
• Obedience to Christ
• Identification with Christ’s people

CONCLUSION

Baptism is more than an event in the water; it is a declaration of a new life in Christ.

Faith saves. Baptism declares. New life confirms.

May our lives continually reflect the reality of what we profess in Christ, walking daily in the newness of life that He has given us.

SUNDAY SERVICE | JERICHO WALL MUST FALL

📖 Bible Text: Joshua 6:1–20
🎯 Topic: Jericho Wall Must Fall

What stands between you and the fulfilment of God's promise?

Today at Jubilee Baptist Church, we were reminded through the account of the Israelites and the walls of Jericho that every promise of God may have an obstacle, but no obstacle can withstand the power of God.

Jericho stood as a stubborn barrier between the Israelites and their promised possession. Yet, when God's people followed His instructions in faith and obedience, the walls that appeared immovable came crashing down.

KEY LESSONS FROM TODAY'S MESSAGE

1. Every Jericho represents a stubborn barrier.
Jericho can represent anything standing between us and the manifestation of God's promises and our God-given destiny.

It may be:

A closed door

Repeated disappointment

Persistent delay

Unexplainable failure

Fear and discouragement

Spiritual resistance

Negative family patterns

Any obstacle standing between us and our destiny

2. The existence of a wall does not cancel God's promise.
Joshua 1:3 reminds us that God had already given the Israelites the land. The wall of Jericho was an obstacle to possession, not a cancellation of the promise.

3. Some walls require persistence and obedience.
Israel had to follow God's instructions repeatedly before the wall fell. Sometimes the breakthrough we desire requires us to keep believing, keep obeying and keep moving, even when nothing appears to be changing.

4. Fear must not become a permanent barrier.
The size of Jericho could have intimidated Israel, but God's promise was greater than what stood before them. We must learn to see our obstacles through the eyes of faith.

5. Delay is not necessarily denial.
Repeated disappointments and delays may make us question God's promise, but we must remember that God's timing is not the same as our timing.

6. God can bring down what human strength cannot.
The walls of Jericho did not fall because Israel was stronger than the wall. They fell because God was faithful to His word.

OUR CHARGE

Whatever your Jericho may be today, don't surrender to the wall.

Don't allow closed doors, repeated disappointments, fear, delays, family patterns, spiritual resistance or seemingly impossible circumstances to make you abandon God's promise.

Keep trusting.
Keep praying.
Keep obeying.
Keep moving forward.

The wall may be standing today, but it must fall!

May every stubborn wall standing between us and the fulfilment of God's purpose for our lives come crashing down, and may we walk boldly into everything God has prepared for us, in Jesus' name. Amen!

What a glorious and joy-filled time we had in God’s presence today at Jubilee Baptist Church! 🎉🙌🏾

Our Thanksgiving Service for the month of July was indeed a beautiful opportunity to look back with grateful hearts and give God all the praise for His faithfulness, preservation, provision and countless blessings throughout the month. 💃🏾🕺🏾🎶

Today’s message reminded us that divine enlargement does not happen by mere wishes; it requires preparation, faith and deliberate steps. As God prepares to enlarge us, we must equally prepare our hearts and position ourselves for what He is bringing our way.

We were encouraged to:

🔹 Prepare our hearts for the enlargement God desires to bring.
🔹 Take the necessary steps rather than remain passive, trusting that progress requires movement.
🔹 Develop ourselves and increase our capacity, because greater opportunities require greater preparedness.
🔹 Strengthen our faith and spiritual walk, knowing that God is the One who ultimately brings enlargement.
🔹 Remain intentional about becoming vessels capable of carrying what we are praying and trusting God for.

As we step into a new month, may the Lord enlarge our territories, increase our capacity, strengthen our faith and lead us into the fullness of His purpose for our lives. May the testimonies of divine enlargement become our portion! 🙏🏾

And as we move forward, may we never forget to look back and say: “Thus far the Lord has helped us.” ❤️‍🔥

Today's message, "Empowered for Service," challenged every believer to recognize that God's empowerment is never for personal glory but for advancing His Kingdom. The sermon emphasized that true service begins with a transformed heart, one that is surrendered to Christ, driven by compassion rather than convenience, and committed to the growth of God's people. It also reminded us that no believer thrives in isolation; we are strengthened and empowered as we remain connected to the body of Christ, encouraging and sharpening one another.

We give all glory to God for a refreshing and impactful Health Sunday at Jubilee Baptist Church! 💚

Today reminded us that our bodies are God's temple, entrusted to us as faithful stewards. As we exercised together and learned practical health principles, we were also challenged to let go of unforgiveness, embrace peace, and live healthier lives, body, mind, and spirit.

To crown the day, we joyfully celebrated and bid farewell to a beloved brother who served faithfully throughout his NYSC year. We thank God for his impact in our church family and pray for greater heights as he begins a new chapter.
May we continue to honour God by caring for our bodies and walking in love. 💪✨

Life presents us with countless decisions, but God never intended for His children to navigate life's journey alone. Divine guidance is God's supernatural leading, direction, and instruction that enables believers to know and walk in His perfect will.

Key Lessons from the Sermon:

✨ Trusting God's direction prevents costly mistakes and brings lasting peace.

✨ A life without divine guidance often leads to frustration, confusion, and vulnerability to deception.

✨ Divine guidance requires a heart of obedience and complete trust in God rather than leaning on our own understanding.

Possible Sources of Guidance

God's leading through His Word and Spirit.

✅ Divine protection (Psalm 23:4).
✅ Fruitfulness (John 15:5).
✅ Fulfillment of God's purpose and destiny (Jeremiah 29:11).

Takeaway:
When we choose to trust the Lord wholeheartedly and follow His leading, He directs our paths, grants us peace, protects us from error, and leads us into the glorious future He has prepared for us.

Today we pause, we celebrate, and we honor the men who carry weight with quiet strength. The dads, step-dads, uncles, mentors, pastors, and father-figures who show up even when it’s hard.

To every father at Jubilee: thank you for the prayers you whisper before anyone wakes up. Thank you for the sacrifices we may never fully see. Thank you for the lessons in responsibility, faith, and integrity that you teach just by how you live. You’re the hands that fix what’s broken, the shoulders we lean on, and the voices that remind us “God is able” when life gets loud.
