LET GO OF YOUR OLD SELF

There are many who should be making huge progress in life but cannot because they are still holding on to their old self. Yet, moving forward in life requires that you let go the former things and embrace the new things of God (Isaiah 43:17-18).

The good is sometimes the enemy of the best. Who you were could stop you from becoming who you should be. Your past has value only when it helps you grow into the person God made you to be. To grow fully into who you should be in destiny, you must release your old version. Until then, it would be impossible to achieve lasting positive progress.

That was the lesson for Jacob at Peniel. The name, Jacob, representing his old version had to give way to Israel, his new spiritual identity in alignment with God’s agenda for his life. Peniel was not just a place to wrestle with God in prayer, but a place where the old gave way to the new, and today emerged from the womb of yesterday. You cannot cling to yesterday and expect today to unfold.

Friends, crave your own Peniel where your old version must be buried and a new version emerge by the power of God. To experience Peniel will require definite dissatisfaction with your current version, concentrated effectual, fervent prayers, and an increasing understanding of God’s agenda for your life.

God is waiting for you at Peniel. May God give you courage to let go your old self and take you to your next level.

- As believers, we must be rest assured that God's protection is sure in our lives.

- To be qualified to having God's protection, we must first be saved.

- A person in sin or sit with sinners will most likely not receive God's protection.

- For you to be free from evil doers of this world, you have to believe in Jesus Christ.

- There is salvation for everyone in this world which makes God's protection sure over everyone but to activate this protection, we must put our absolute trust in God.
