It is not a small thing for God to call a man, to anything. When we talk about the call of God, it is not a cultural idea or religious activity, it is a holy reality. God still speaks, God still calls. God still interrupts the schedules of men to establish His eternal agenda. That voice, when it speaks, does not merely communicate information; it imparts revelation, transformation, and direction.
The first truth of ministry and destiny is that God is the Source, not the servant. He initiates, He commissions, and He defines. His voice is the origin of vision, the compass of purpose, and the breath that awakens sleeping destinies. That voice demands response, because to hear and ignore is to delay glory and invite emptiness. The voice of God is the beginning of destiny, every divine encounter that births a life-transforming assignment is rooted in this voice. You don’t wake up one morning and call yourself; no man takes this honour upon himself. It is bestowed by Him who is the Source. It is the Lord who initiates, defines, and empowers the call. It is the Lord who stands as the Alpha and Omega, the Author and Finisher, not just of our faith, but of our functioning in life.
You see, knowing the Lord is not a small matter. Merely being born again is itself a miracle and a mystery. Who are we that God should speak to us? Who are we that the Almighty would place the weight of His purpose upon our shoulders? That is why I have always said that the salvation of my soul and the call of God upon my life are the two greatest treasures of my existence. I do not take them for granted. I live for them, and if need be, I will die for them.
