*Extreme Grace KENYA: A WIDOW*

*_Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you._ Colossians 3:13*

*“Before we finish this funeral service,” her words rang out clearly to the thousand people in attendance, “I want to tell you what my husband told me before dying. He asked me to tell all his murderers that he goes to heaven loving wholeheartedly everybody, including his assassins. He has forgiven all for what they have done because Jesus loves and will also forgive them.”*

She stood over her husband’s coffin. There were tears in her eyes, but her voice was strong. The bruises on her body told the mourners that she, too, had been beaten.

As Christians, she and her husband had refused to take a Kikuyu tribal oath that wasn’t consistent with their Christian faith. For this, her husband was beaten to death, and she was beaten and hospitalized.

The crowd was still, silenced by the power of the widow’s words, and her will. Many living in Kenya in 1969 had also faced harassment and attack for valuing their faith over tribal loyalties.

“I, as his widow, also tell all of you, in the presence of my dead husband, that I hate none of those who killed him. I love the killers. I forgive them, knowing that Christ has died for them too.”

No one in attendance that day would ever forget the widow’s words or her example of extreme forgiveness and grace.

_Forgiveness is an extreme example of what it means to be like Christ, to extend his grace to others. No one has ever had to forgive more than Jesus Christ. Nothing can compare to the weight of an entire world’s sins on his shoulders at Calvary. Therefore, when we forgive those who hate us, we are never more like Jesus than at that moment. Forgiveness does not make the wrongs that were done to you right. Forgiveness makes you all right. Forgiveness does not mean letting your perpetrators off the hook. Forgiveness means letting yourself off the hook and getting released from the tyranny of vengeful thoughts. Forgiving others for their wrongs gives you a chance to shine for Christ like never before. Where will you shine the light of God’s forgiveness today?_

*(Baba is punishing Aduke, who is on her knees)*

*Aduke*:- (Crying) I am sorry Baba. I won't do so again.

*Baba*:- Shut up. Useless girl. Are you a goat🐂? Why must you make the same mistake over and over?

*Aduke*:- I am finished ooo! Baba please...

*Baba*:- Idiot. Hold your tongue.
(Susan walks🚶‍♀ in)

*Susan*:- Good day Baba.

*Baba*:- Welcome o jare Susan. How are you?

*Susan*:- I'm fine Sir. And you?

*Baba*:- I'm fine o. Its only this stupid girl that wants to kill me.

*Susan*:- What has she done again Sir?

*Baba*:- Can you imagine? I sent her to buy a tin of milk for me, and she did not check the expiry date. By the time I did, it was expired. Just last month, she bought a tube of toothpaste for me, and it was also expired. Useless child...
(He wants to flog her again, but Susan restrains him.)

*Susan*:- Its alright Sir. Please forgive her. I will buy another for you.

*Baba*:- Ah, thank you jare my daughter. Omo daadaa.

*Susan*:- Please sit down awhile Sir. I have something very interesting to tell you.

*Baba*:- Is that so?
(He takes his seat.)

*Susan*:- Please permit me to release her Sir. I want her to listen too.

*Baba*:- Stand up, idiot. As stubborn as a goat.

*Aduke*:- (Wiping her tears) Thank you Aunty.

*Susan*:- Sir, I have been telling you to stop calling this girl names like idiot, stupid, goat and such.
You are an authority figure in her life, so there is great authority in your words. Any word you speak to her, is empowered to come to pass in her life. Its whatever you call her that she'll become.

*Baba*:- Is that so?

*Susan*:- Yes Baba. As you call her stupid, idiot etc, the more she will act so.

*Baba*:- Ah! then I must stop it o.
*Susan*:- Good. now on the issue of *EXPIRY DATE*, Baba do you know that its not only products that have expiry dates? We human beings too have expiry dates. But it is rather unfortunate that though we take great pains to check the expiry dates of products that we buy, we do not bother to ponder on the

WHY MISSIONS???

Why are we involved in missions??? What is the end results of missions or what does mission aim at achieving??? Is it just carrying out a command given by Jesus we don't know where it is leading to??(Matt 28:19-20). Is it all about pouring out your life reaching out to others just as an act of sacrifice, is it all about seeing how poor, undeveloped and uncivilized some people are and trying to help them get better???

The goal of missions is summarized in the prayer of the psalmist is Psalm 117:1.
_Psalms 117:1 O Praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people._
God's goal is to see all nations have His praises in their lips. Apostle John in Revelation saw the purpose of God for creation when saw all glory, honour and power.
_Revelation 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created._
_Revelation 15:4 Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest._

Missions exists because the praise of God is absent in many nations. Missions ceases to exist when the praise of God has been established in all nations, among all tribes, all tongues and people groups. When Jesus commissioned us to go into all the worlds and preach the gospel, He is actually saying: go into all nations and establish the praise of God in the hearts of men by reconciling them with me through the gospel which saves and fills men with worship for the true God.

One of the signs that will precede the second coming of Jesus is the gospel getting to the ends of the world. By this, all nations will be brought into the knowledge of God and walk in the purpose for for which they are created.

How can they worship and live in adoration and praise if they don't know of the gospel or of Jesus finished work of salvation??? How can they worship God if they

WINNING THE NATIONS ON BENDED KNEES.

Missions is first all about praying. The success of missions is tied to the success we get in prayers. Missions is more spiritual than physical. It is more on dependence on the God of the harvest to send more laborers who He has prepared for the work than more of reliance on our experience, charisma, eloquence or knowledge of scriptures. Islam bears witness of this. In spite of how encrypted the ways of Islam is, how haphazard and obscure their doctrines are, they remain one of the fastest growing religion in the world. This isn't based on Charisma but on spiritual manipulations and incarnations.

One of the things Jesus and the early Church prioritized was prayers not because they were jobless, had more time to themselves or for religious purpose, they did because they knew that the task of being successful and effective in reaching the lost souls of men is dependent on the victory they get in displacing the strong man who has put a veil over the hearts of all men so they are blind to the truth.

To a man blind, there is no amount of light you shine upon him that he can realize and acknowledge. To a man blinded by the devil, to the one whose heart is dominated by the devil who rules over all men, there is no knowledge of the truth, no eloquent speaking or strategic missions we engage in that will bring transformation to their hearts. Only as God who is the Lord of the harvest in whose sight all men are like grass prepares their hearts can we see a pe*******on of God's Word.

The greatest need of missions is not resources or even the unreached nations. The greatest need of missions is prayers. It is only as we pray to the God of the harvest, He will send the right laborers into His harvest field who all nations will bow before and also stir the hearts of men to give for His work.

A work that will not last or stand the test of time is one that is based more on our skills, eloquence, wisdom and strategies instead of on

Sad Reality😞

29/03/2020

If there is a salient reminder this corona virus pandemic has brought to the church, it is the fact that we will not always have the opportunity to travel around the world to work among unreached people groups, that we will not always have the opportunity for social gatherings of crusades and other evangelistic activities. A time is coming when we would want to preach the gospel and be involved in missions but the window and opportunity wouldn’t be there anymore. Now that it is day, this is the allotted time and opportunity we have for the night cometh when no man can work.

Little do the church realized that the coronation of all things will be when the night falls on the world. Do you know the coming of Jesus into the world as savior and Redeemer ended a dispensation of morning. In the morning, many things and structures are still unclear and grasp for true light is still minimal. That’s the era of the old testament. Many things were hidden from men. The knowledge and mystery of God was still minimal until Jesus came as the truth. The death, burial and resurrection of Jesus and the consequent advent of the Holy Spirit set up the era of the last days which will culminate into the last hour before night fall.

The time is indeed short and God would want the church to put all the arsenal at its disposal and launch them to the ends of the world until such expedition won’t be possible anyone. Like Scott will you live in regrets for failure to live out your calling when you had time to do????
