TOPIC: Worship
Preamble: It is the time of worship and the time to worship for we have all seen the Lord's mercy and goodness upon us. The Lord has done great things for us and great things are spoken of us.
We are instrument of worship and praise and we are created to give God worship and praise.
To every generation, there is what God want; the people of old were not running after silver and gold like our days rather they understood the scripture (Matthew 6:33) that says; seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and every other thing shall be added to you.
They seek God, they found Him and every other thing was given to them.
You must understand that if you give God what He wants, miracle will become your lifestyle.
You must know what God want from you and what God want from your generation.
Message:
The Bible says in (John 4:22) "Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
The hour is now when the true worshippers (not fake worshipers) will worship God in truth and in spirit (John 4:23)
It is the true worshiper that the Lord is talking about so if you are not a true worshipper, you will get nothing.
Meaning, the kind of worshipper that God is looking for are true worshippers. You can gather in millions but those that God want/desire are true worshippers that will worship Him in truth and spirit.
You must understand that God has a standard and He will not compromise because of any one. It is you that will do all that it takes to meet up with His Standard.
The question is;
Are You A True Worshipper?
The Bible made us to understand in (John 4:24) that "God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth."
God is a Spirit, so you can't worship Him in the flesh. You can't have a smooth relationship with someone that is in a different realm.
NOTE: Until you enter into the Spirit, you can't see God or worship Him.
The kind of worship that God want and a worship that never fails but produces results, is the worship done in the Spirit and in Truth.
You need to understand that, You can't worship God the way you praise Him because praise can be done in many ways but worship can only be done in two ways.
You can chant, clap and shout praise God and whether you are a believer or not, you can give God praise because God doesn't discriminate during praise.
The Bible says let everything that has breath praise the Lord (Psalms 150:6). Meaning once you have breath in you, you can praise the Lord.
You can praise God anyhow but you can't worship God anyhow and that is why it is very hard to see a true worshipper.
Reason why it is hard to enter into the Spirit;
It is because the realm of the Spirit is just two(2) feet and before a worshipper can touch the heart of God you must enter into the Spirit.
The Bible made us to understand that the kingdom of heaven is like unto Children (Matthew 19:14).
So to worship God, you must be humble, bow or kneel like the height of children to be able to enter into the Spirit.
NOTE: Praise is man inviting God into his space but Worship is God inviting man into His space.
So when you are praising God, you are inviting God into your space and that is why when you praise God, you will see all your problems disappear because God cannot come to your life and your life remain the same.
You can't see God's beauty until you are invited into His space.
What Can A Man Do To Be A True Worshipper;
1) You need to accept Jesus Christ:
(John 1:12)Says "But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name"
You need to become a son before you can become a true worshipper and you can't become a son without power.
So the question is;
*How many of you are sons of God?*
Many come to church, pay tithe and offering but are still not of God and it is the reason why they time God for their miracle, once the time pass they will leave God.
A true son will never leave or abandon his father no matter the situation.
So you need to believe in God as your Lord and personal saviour first.
(Acts 4:12) Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
So Christ must be accepted as your Lord and personal saviour and that is when you become a son and be sentenced into power.
2) You must be born again:
The problem we have is that many christians are not born again but are baring the name christian.
Until you are born again, you can't obtain the power to worship God in truth and in Spirit.
You must be;
• Born again
• Born of the Spirit
• Born into the realm of God.
You must have all these, before you can worship God in truth and in Spirit.
It is then every little thing you do, move God and because you are doing it from a pure Spirit.
Meaning if you are not born again nothing you do will move God.
