TOPIC: PRINCIPLES OF PRAYER (4)
TEXT: 1 JOHN 1:7

“But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.”

Beloved, the Bible says in John 15:7:
“But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want and it will be granted.”
According to this Scripture, if you want to receive answers to your prayers, you must first get God’s Word to abide in you.
How do you get the Word to abide in you?
Whatever it is you are praying about, find Scriptures that address that. Find Scriptures that promise you the things you are desiring from God. Then meditate on these Scriptures until you get them down on the inside of you. Then you have a solid foundation for faith. The devil will not be able to move you out of that foundation because it is based solidly on the Word.
It is easy to have faith when God’s Word is abiding in you.
The Bible says in Psalm 119:
“The entrance of thy words giveth light…”
If you have a light on your path, then you can walk in that light and you can make progress and you can get results in your PRAYER POINT. OH GOD HELP ME TO WALK IN THE LIGHT OF GOD'S WORD IN JESUS NAME.

TOPIC:WHY YOU MUST REPENT (3)
TEXT: MATTHEW 5:16

“In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.”

Beloved, repentance only makes sense if sin is more than a mistake. In Christian faith, Sin is what harms relationship and fractures trust with others, within ourselves and with God.
In repentance, we are called to name the action or inaction and accept responsibility for it. We are also called to turn away from that sin and not repeat it.
The call for repentance is itself an act of forgiveness and therefore an act of love. In calling us to repentance, God is offering forgiveness, but he is also calling us to love.
To truly have remorse you must regret the hurt you have caused and that can only come from a place of love. Both the call that God makes to us to forgive and the call that makes to us to repent are calls to love.
He commanded it because sin is disobedience. It separates us from life and peace. It is more than regret, a change of direction.
Worldly sorrow only cares about getting caught, but Godly sorrow changes how you live.
PRAYER POINT:OH GOD GIVE THE GRACE TO REPENT GENUINELY IN JESUS NAME.

“NOT AT ALL, And you will
perish, too, unless you repent
of your sins and turn to God.
No, and I tell you again that
unless you repent, you will
perish.”

Beloved first and foremost
repentance is a necessary part
of the gospel. The gospel
according to Jesus was a
call to forsake sin and also
a summon to faith. From His
first message to His last, the
Saviour’s theme was calling
sinners to repentance.
In order for Salvation to be
effective, individuals must
see themselves as sinners
who have fallen short of God’s
glory. They must confess
themselves to the Lord
did not come to call
righteous but sinners to
repent.
The reasons to repent are as follows:
1)It is the gospel
2)Christ suffered for your
sins. The next time your heart
is indifferent towards sin,think
for a moment of what sin cost
your Saviour on the Cross.3)God commands us to be
Holy (2 Corinthians 7:1)
4)God hates Sin (Habakkuk 1:13)
5)Obedience is Love for
God (Mt. 22:37)
6)Work of the Holy Spirit
This gives evidence of the
indwelling presence of the Holy
