At the gate of the year, we choose intention over impulse, consecration over noise. Before plans are written in ink, we write our names in prayer. Before we chase outcomes, we seek the Face - Matthew 6:33; Psalm 27:8.
This is the call of one hundred days— not a hunger strike of pride, but a holy alignment of desire.
A season set apart to say with our bodies and our breath: “God, You come first.” - Joel 2:12–13

Why Begin the Year This Way. To fast at the start of the year is to set the spiritual tone before the world sets the agenda. It is to declare that success is not speed, but alignment. That progress is not pressure,
but presence - Proverbs 16:3.

The Spiritual Impact: As the body yields, the spirit awakens. Hearts become tender, repentance becomes honest, and faith grows roots instead of slogans - James 4:8–10. Strongholds loosen. Clarity replaces confusion. Prayer shifts from routine to relationship.
What once felt distant becomes near - 2 Cor. 10:3–5; Psalm 34:18.

So we begin at the threshold of the year, we kneel before we run. We listen before we speak. We fast so that heaven may move, and we may move with it.
This is the ancient way. This is the faithful path. This is how the year is claimed—not by chance, but by consecration.
