WORD SESSION || DOUBLE PORTION SERVICE
Ministering: Pst. Dooshima Olive Paul
Topic: New Walk
Texts: Galatians 5:16–26; Genesis 17:1–4
Key Highlights
✓ What we feed and submit to will determine how we live. Our daily choices reveal whether we are yielding to the flesh or walking by the Spirit.
✓ We are made of two opposing influences: the flesh and the Spirit. We must intentionally choose which one we will submit to.
✓ Works of the flesh include sexual immorality, idolatry, hatred, jealousy, drunkenness, division, and other sinful desires.
✓ The fruit of the Spirit is seen in love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control.
✓ The question is: What are you feeding? Whatever receives our attention, obedience, and submission will ultimately influence the way we live.
✓ Crucify the flesh. We must put sinful desires to death rather than continually giving them room to control our lives.
✓ Submit to the Holy Spirit. A new walk requires daily dependence on and obedience to the Spirit of God.
✓ Let your life produce spiritual fruit. Our walk with God should be evident in our character, conduct, relationships, and choices.
✓ Walk with God and live blamelessly. We are called to live a life that reflects our relationship with God.
※ Reflection: What are you feeding—the flesh or the Spirit?
