Sermon notes, 10th May, 2026

Theme: RCCG Explosive Growth Drive, Vision 2032.
Sub-theme: Thy latter harvest shall greatly increase.
Focal text: Job 8:7

There is a pattern with God; He never ends where He started. There is bound to be an evident increase and growth in anything He begins.

Valid cases to justify the above assertion:

Genesis 17:5 - Abraham became the father of nations; he was God’s project.

In Acts 2:41, 4:4 - the early church grew from 120 people to thousands in days because the Spirit of the Lord was with them.

It is pertinent to emphasize that God is committed to continuing greater glory, impact and harvest rather than past glory. See John 15:2 - emphasis is on “more fruits” which symbolizes multiplication/ fruitfulness/ increase.

When results are not obvious (evident growth) in your walk of faith, then you’re not aligned with God’s timeless agenda of consistently reaching out and harvesting lost souls for Christ.

Why the harvest stops growing:

Satisfaction with past results - Amos 6:1
Loss of burden for souls - Matthew 9:36
Lack of compassion for lost souls - Matthew 9:36

How to grow and reap the increase:

Repent and genuinely ask God for help.
Think of what to do for God in order to harvest souls into His Kingdom - Isaiah 54:2-4
Enlarge and stretch your capacity, lengthen your reach and strengthen your system.

Takeaways:

Examine yourself to know if you have indeed been winning souls consistently and not dwelling on past glory.
If you want your glory to increase, re-ignite your passion for souls and increase your harvest accordingly.

Prayer:

Father, align my life with your agenda of greater-still.
Father, deliver me from stagnation and position me for greater increase.
Father, restore my passion for lost souls in Jesus’ name.
Father, deliver me from satisfaction with past results, break every spirit of complacency and programme me into greater harvest.
Father, enlarge my vision, stretch my capacity, strengthen my system and make me ready for greater harvest in Jesus’ name, Amen

May 2026 Thanksgiving Service

Text: Jeremiah 1:4-5

God had already ordained everything about your life from the very beginning of the world.
Just like in our text, He already knew us and planned for us before we were born.

As God has a plan for your life, you have a part to play in that perfect plan of His. (Eccl 3:1-8)

There is also a set time for you to play that part. (Psalm 102:13)

In Luke 2:42-52, we see that even Jesus had a set time before he could begin his ministry.

The same God who wrote the plans of your life ahead of time, also reserves the right to make changes to it.

In Luke 22:31-32, we see that Jesus intervened in prayers for Peter to alter the plan of the devil to use.

🗣️May you never do what will make God hand you over to the devil.

In 2kings 5:1-19 , a little girl was captured by the army of Syria and taken to serve in the house of Naaman.
While there she connected Naaman to his healing, and through that healing the gospel spread to Syria.
That was the greater impact she was created to fulfill.

Mark 5:2-19 tells the story of a dangerously mad man. God healed him, changed his story, and rerouted his life to give glory to God.

So also is the story of a man who was once notorious criminal, he received a tract that changed his life. Today he’s a devoted elder in the RCCG.

You have been created for great impact, but you can only achieve that greatness in Christ.
Choose today, to stay in Christ, he alone can secure your future.

Prayer Points:
1. God show me the purpose for which you created me.
2. Father, please let me fulfill your purpose.
3. Lord if I’m about to go wrong, please pray for me (like you prayed for Peter).
4. Father help me fulfill my destiny.

Topic: JESUS CHRIST THE TRUE FOUNDATION TO BUILD ON
Bible Text: 1st Corinthians 3:10-11

NOTE TO KEEP
Apostle Paul speaking says if you are building anything and you do not include Jesus, it will collapse. If it is not on the solid rock which is JESUS, it will not last, whatever you build on the solid rock Jesus, will stand the test of time, JESUS is the solid foundation that cannot be shaken.

WHAT IS A FOUNDATION
A foundation is the underlaying, base or support for a structure, concept or organization.

* When you are building you need to pay attention to what it will take for it to stand *.

FOUNDATION TO BUILD ON
1. You are to build your life : John 3:1-3
You must give your life to Jesus Christ because He is the foundation that cannot be shaken Luke 19:1-9(Zacheaus). Money and fame cannot give you a solid foundation.

2. You must build your marriage:there will be storms that will shake your home but you must build your home on a solid rock(Jesus)for it to stand.

3. We must build your career: Luke 5:1-5 (peter)the moment peter decided to build his foundation on Jesus the solid rock, he excelled.

4. You must build your ministry: Ephesians 2:20, your academics and degrees may fail you but Jesus will not fail you when you invest in Him the only solid foundation, seek him and you will find him in your ministry.

5. Your personal/structural foundation: when you build your physical project and structure and mental thoughts and lifestyle on Jesus, you will excel, put Jesus first in everything you do

* Jesus Christ is an unshakeable foundation that will not fail, Ephesians 2:20, He is our chief cornerstone and our steady pace, Luke 6:47-49. Don't be a victim of worldly affairs; lying, cheating, receiving and giving bribe, build on Jesus, for He is our confidence, Isaiah 28:16, "Don't make haste to get rich", you must build yourself gradually on Christ foundation Psalm 91:1.

BENEFITS OF HAVING JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR FOUNDATION
1. Fulfillment and secured destiny Matthew 11:28- 30.
2. Access to divine information John 14:15-17, 15: 5-6.
3. Unshakeable faith:(even in the troubles of Life your faith will stand) Hebrews 11:16.
4. Access to divine miracle John 14:12-13.
5. A close relationship with Christ Philippians 3:9-10.
6. Divine restoration Jeremiah 30:17.
7. Benefits of eternal life revelation 21:6-8

CONCLUSION
Build on Jesus Christ for He is the one and only true Foundation that can stand the test of Time.
