✨The Law of Money
Beloved, today we gather to reflect on a principle that governs both the spiritual and physical realms: the law of money. Money is not evil in itself; it is a tool, a servant, a resource. The danger lies when money becomes our master. Scripture reminds us in 1 Timothy 6:10: “For the love of money is the root of all evil.” Notice—it is not money itself, but the love of it that corrupts.
🔑 Teachings on the Law of Money
1. Money Obeys the Law of Value
- Money flows toward those who create value.
- Proverbs 22:29 says: “Seest thou a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings.”
- Diligence, skill, and service attract wealth. Laziness repels it.
2. Money Obeys the Law of Exchange
- Money is a medium of exchange, not a source of life.
- You receive money in proportion to the problems you solve.
- Jesus taught in Luke 6:38: “Give, and it shall be given unto you.” Exchange is divine.
3. Money Obeys the Law of Stewardship
- Wealth is entrusted, not owned.
- In the parable of the talents (Matthew 25:14–30), the faithful stewards multiplied what was given.
- Mismanagement leads to loss, but wise stewardship multiplies blessings.
4. Money Obeys the Law of Generosity
- The kingdom principle is clear: sowing precedes reaping.
- Proverbs 11:24: “There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth.”
- Generosity breaks the grip of greed and opens the heavens for abundance.
5. Money Obeys the Law of Priority
- Matthew 6:33: “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
- When money becomes the goal, it enslaves. When God is the goal, money becomes a servant.
⚔️ Warnings Against Misuse of Money
- Idolatry: When money replaces God, destruction follows.
- Exploitation: Wealth gained unjustly brings curses (Proverbs 13:11).
- Pride: Riches without humility lead to downfall.
