Apostle Arome Osayi caused online controversy after saying anyone over 21 who has never spoken in tongues for six hours is “living a joke,” triggering mixed reactions from Nigerians.

For the first time ever, a Pastor grew a Church for 16 years, gathered thousands of members, and walked away from the pulpit without..

— Putting anyone related to him by blood to take over.

— Taking a dime from the Church as salary for 16 years.

— Owning a house nor a land in his name nor by proxy.

— More than $3,000 in the bank

— A car in his name (his took a car loan that he hasn’t completely paid off)

— Any evidence of scandal in his 16 years of active ministry.

I sense betrayal in his voice but that might be far from the truth.

Whatever his reasons are for walking away from the pulpit ministry while doing ministry from other angle, I salute him.

This is what I have bee saying that ministry is beyond standing behind the pulpit. Pulpit ministry within the four walls of the Church is just one out of many.

Even if God personally tells some Pastors to resign from a Church they spent all their life to build and hand it over to total strangers without taking a dime, only very few will listen.

This is to tell you the extent of sacrifice this man made. Walking away from an asset of over $1.5 million with his wife and two children (7 and 3 years old) isn’t something that comes with ease.

But if God says, “move,” the right thing to do is to move. Not easy, I won’t lie.

“LAST YEAR, SOME PROPHETS SAID THEY SAW MY PLANE DROPPING FROM THE SKY.
MY DESTINY IS NOT IN THE HAND OF ANY PROPHET OR PILOT.”

If I tell you that by the grace of God I will see the year that is coming—and we are just at the beginning of it—it is because I know Someone is in charge of my destiny.
I cannot die until He says it is time.

I was telling some pastors—sometime last year, around May—that I was travelling to Japan. And some prophets came and said they saw my plane dropping from the sky.

I said, “Na lie!”

I was going to Japan because I promised them back in 2018 that I would come. COVID didn’t allow me then, but now I was going.
You saw a plane dropping? That’s fine. Not my plane.

On the way, we were to stop in Oman. I had my visa before leaving home. When I got there—remember, we even have churches in Oman—they cancelled my visa.

The devil whispered, “You see now? You’d better go back home.”
I said, “I’m not going back home.”

I slept at the airport. The next day, I continued my journey.

From Oman to Japan was about ten and a half hours. Perfectedlight. Halfway through the flight, the pilot came out. Anytime you see the pilot in the cabin, just know something serious is happening—because normally, you never see the pilot.

He didn’t speak to me. He went to the back of the plane.

Later, I was told that one of the fuses supplying power to parts of the aircraft had blown.

Again, the devil whispered, “You were warned.”
I just smiled.

What did I do? I slept.

My destiny is not in the hands of any prophet.
My destiny is not in the hands of any pilot.
My destiny is in the hands of the One who made me who I am—
the One who is not only the Alpha, but also the Omega.

In the air, there is no parking space for repairs.
If anything goes wrong, it’s over to God.
And if He decides to take me from the sky to heaven—well, that’s a shorter journey.

Now tell me—
How many of you believe your tomorrow will be alright?
How many of you know it’s not because of your cleverness, but because of the mercies of the Lord?

Now we are talking! Members of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (Lagos Branch) recently paid a courtesy visit to the Winners Ark Project in Ota, Ogun State.

I’ve emphasized time and again that this project should not be seen solely as a religious endeavor.

It is a national monumental project.

The blend of engineering brilliance in that facility is on that showcases the great potential of our great nation.

Aside that, the project is setting numerous record-breaking firsts in design, construction, and functionality.

Yes, it is a church facility, but its architectural and engineering ingenuity places Nigeria firmly on the global map, highlighting the exceptional talents within our borders.

Also, the scale, precision, and innovation demonstrated in this project reflect the skill and dedication of Nigerian engineers, architects, and other professionals who contributed to its creation. I'll share about this some other time.

Kudos to the Nigerian Society of Engineers (Lagos Branch) for taking the time to acknowledge and celebrate this milestone.

WHY 99% OF CHRISTIANS FAIL TO DISCERN THIS DANG3R0US SPIRIT — APOSTLE AROME OSAYI

One of the greatest weaknesses in the Body of Christ today is not prayerlessness, but lack of discernment. Many believers are spiritually active yet d4nger0usly blind. The Bible warns that Satan does not always appear as a roaring lion; many times, he comes as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14). This is why the most d4nger0us spirits are not the obvious ones, but the subtle ones that blend with truth, emotion, and religious activity.

The first reason 99% fail to discern this spirit is dependence on emotion instead of the spirit. Many Christians judge spiritual matters by how they feel rather than by spiritual witness. If it feels good, sounds inspiring, or looks successful, they assume it is from God. But the spirit realm is not governed by feelings; it is governed by truth and light. Eve fell not because the fruit looked evil, but because it looked desirable (Genesis 3:6).

The second reason is neglect of spiritual growth and sensitivity. Discernment is not automatic; it must be cultivated. Hebrews 5:14 says discernment belongs to those who, by reason of use, have trained their senses. When believers avoid extended prayer, fasting, and separation, their spiritual senses remain dull. Fathers of faith like Smith Wigglesworth and Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola emphasized sensitivity over popularity because they understood that accuracy is more important than acceptance.

The final reason is familiarity with spiritual environments. Many believers become comfortable around spiritual activity and stop testing spirits. They assume everything spiritual is safe. This is dangerous. Discernment protects destiny. When this dangerous spirit is not detected early, it leads to error, compromise, and wasted years. The solution is simple but demanding: stay prayerful, stay submitted to truth, and never stop testing every spirit against Scripture and the witness of the Holy Ghost.

A child was failed by people and by systems that should have protected her. This is beyond tragedy. It is injustice.

We are asking, with holy anger and righteous responsibility :

That truth be brought to light.
That accountability be enforced.

For Ochanya.

For our nation’s conscience.
