THE CHURCH IS NOT YOUR PROBLEM
Dearly beloved, I hope this word finds you well. It is God’s letter of love to you, as it was to me when I first received it.
The scripture states: study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needed not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (2 Tim 2:15).
I asked someone some time ago, “Can a farmer function without his tools? If he can’t, then what is the principal tool of a believer in Christ Jesus?” “The Bible,” he answered. Now, if the bible is your tool, isn’t it expected of you to use it? Wait a minute, how can you use a tool you don’t give attention to? One whose worth or application you do not know?
When I hear people say the church and the preachers are their major challenge and that of society, it makes me wonder. Is it not written that we should know no man according to the flesh (2 Cor 5:16)? Or is it not written in YOUR copy of the bible that we should test all spirits? Have you not heard that by their fruits YOU shall know them?
Even if you cannot see visions, don’t you observe people's lifestyles?
See, the church nor the preachers (whether true or false) are not the problem here.
YOU are YOUR problem!! Sounds harsh, but this is the truth.
You may wish to ask how? That’s okay. You create time for your businesses, family, and other things you hold so dear, but you don’t make time to study the scriptures. You don’t pray or develop a personal relationship with the holy Spirit as you should. “Don’t you know that the Spirit of God eagerly yearns for YOU? He wants to talk to you, tell you things you didn’t know, help you observe certain things you didn’t know would harm you if ignored, but since you did not give Him the desired attention, He stood by and watched you fall into temptations and overcame by evil”.
When this word of God dwells richly in you as the Lord Jesus Christ advises (Col 3:16) you’d easily detect if a preacher is false, after all, the scripture has stated it clearly before now that many false preachers will come up to deceive many (Matt 24:24). Since you would not create time for the scripture another person will teach you the twisted word, he/she had created time to make! You fell prey simply because you didn’t ask the holy Spirit about that person before submitting to him/her. You didn’t read the scriptures or carefully observe the person's lifestyle. No matter how a person pretends, when you ask the holy Spirit to expose the true nature of that person or help you see through the mask, He will. Every word of God is true, alive and active.
Before you submit to any minister, pray, study the scriptures and observe their fruits, knowing that no prophetic word, dream, or revelation is greater than God’s word. This is the truth you have to know.
Remember, the Lord Jesus Christ loves you so much and is always willing to help.
