Message Title: What Wisdom is This - Part 4b
Ref: Mark 6:2
Introduction
"The wisdom that baffles the world is not common sense—because everybody has it"
"Everybody can acquire intellectual wisdom"
"The wisdom that baffles the world comes from above. In other words, it comes from God"
"No man is a source of the wisdom from above; it only comes from God" - Mark 6:2, James 3:14-15
"Doing things the way of God is what we call the wisdom from above"
• Within every born-again Christian lies the rich deposit of the mind of Christ – 1 Cor. 2:14-16
"You can't be carnal and access the wisdom of God"—1 Cor. 2:15
HOW IS THE MIND OF CHRIST LIKE? Phil. 2:5-8
- The mind of Christ is the mind of humility; the mind of meekeness.
"The mind of Christ learns, listens, takes corrections, receives instructions, and walks with it"
"Wisdom begins with humility"
"Without meekness, you cannot walk in the wisdom of God" - Num. 12:13, Deut. 34:9
"There are people who look like fools but they are wise"
• The mind of Christ is the spirit of Wisdom, which is a gift of God at redemption ordained for our profiting—Rom. 11:29, 1 Cor. 12: 7
• But, this precious deposit can be dormant if it is not stirred up – 2 Tim. 1:6-7
"The mind of Christ is the way out of every situation of life"
BIBLICAL WAYS TO STIRRING UP THIS MIND OF CHRIST IN US
1. By the Word
• Christ the living word is the rod that comes out of the stem of Jesse - Isa. 11:1-2, John 1:1-5
• The rod which is the Word is what we use to stir up this deposit in us – Psa. 19:7-8, 2 Tim. 3:15
"If you are not studying the Word, the mind of Christ will be dormant in you"
"Scriptures activates the mind of Christ in you"
2. Meditation in the Word - That is, thinking through scriptures until the hidden truth comes out – Josh. 1:8, Psa. 119:97-100
3. Prayer of Enquiries – Jer. 33:3, Mark 11:24, Jam. 1:5
"Wisdom comes by prayer" – James 1:5
• Fasting is also required from time to time to scatter the blindfold of the enemy against our access to the wisdom from above – Mark 17:19-21
4. Focus – Prov. 24:30-33, Matt. 6:22
• We must maintain a strong focus on any subject of interest both in searching for scriptures along with other anointed books and resources – Dan. 9:2
5. Through Thanksgiving as a lifestyle – Psa. 100:4, 16:11
"You can't be in God's presence and not know secret" - Psa. 16:11
"Thanksgiving grants you access to the presence of God, and when you get to His presence, He grants you access to divine secrets, and operating in the secrets of God is what we call divine wisdom"
FINANCIAL FORTUNE BANQUET - Deut. 8 :18, 2 Cor. 8 :9, 9:8
• The world today is facing the worst economic crisis in history, and from all prophetic scriptures, this is just the beginning – Isa. 60:1-3, Matt. 24:7-8
WHAT IS THE WAY OUT?
• Covenant practice is the master key to a world of financial fortune – Deut. 8:18, Job 22:21-25
• But covenant fortune does not only empower for wealth; it also procures peace, favour and engenders divine health – 2 Chr. 15:12-15, Psa. 102:13-15
COVENANT KEYS TO A WORLD OF FINANCIAL FORTUNE
1. Engage tirelessly in covenant practice – Deut. 8:18, 2 Cor. 9:6-8, Phil. 4:15-19
2. Be spiritually minded – Rom. 8:6, 3 John 2, 1 Tim. 4:7-8
"Anytime you are not spiritual towards God, you become carnal towards the devil"
