*MISSION SUPPORT TO FOUR PARISHES ACROSS THREE ARCHDEACONRIES*

Beloved in Christ,
We bring greetings to the Church of God in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

We are delighted to formally inform you all that the sum of One Million, Seven Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira *( #1,750,000)* only has been given as *Mission Support* towards parish projects within selected Archdeaconries of the Diocese.
This giving has been made from very modest and meagre resources, out of a sincere desire to see the work of God grow, buildings completed, mission strengthened and the Gospel of Christ advanced in our Diocese. We also wish to state that if the Lord enlarges the resources in the future, even more will be joyfully committed to the work of the Kingdom.
The beneficiaries are :
*Lokoja Central Archdeaconry*

– St. Michael, Felele — ₦250,000
– A Member of St Michael Felele, whose house was completely burnt down 4th January,2026 #250,000

*Bassa East Missionary Archdeaconry*

– St. Paul, Oguma — ₦250,000

*Zango Missionary Archdeaconry*

– St. John, Zango ₦500,000

– St. Mathias, Zariagi ₦500,000

It is our hope that this support will strengthen ongoing building projects, encourage mission work, and enhance evangelism and discipleship efforts in these Diocese. We also trust that this gesture will serve as an encouragement for others within the household of faith to give sacrificially as the Lord enables them.
May the Lord who sees in secret reward openly, and may this seed yield bountiful fruits to the glory of God and the growth of His Church.
To God alone be the praise, both now and always. Amen.

STEWARDSHIP SUNDAY
Stewardship Sunday has become a regular observance in our Diocese for well over a decade. This is because we have sought to encourage our members to discover their spiritual gifts as children of God. It is also to enable us to use those gifts to serve the Lord in His Church wherever He places us. We praise God for the responses by our members and how many of them have become active in various ways as a result.

This year, we are expanding the scope beyond just individuals discovering their gifts to a greater understanding of the Church context in which our ministries are to be fulfilled. The Church is a family – the family and household of God. We serve together as the people of God meeting each other’s needs in the context of fellowship.
1. What is the proper context for the exercise of spiritual gifts? See Rom. 12: 3-8; 1 Cor. 12: 12-14, 27; Explain the use of “Body” and “Member” as they apply to our context today.
2. How does Eph. 4: 11-16 show the potential for a robust church life through the exercise of spiritual gifts for the common good? What is our Christian duty/responsibility to each other?
3. How did the local church context expose eloquent Apollos to more effective ministry in Act 18: 24-28? What Christian virtues made this possible and how can we imitate this in our churches?
4. How do we see collaboration and partnership encouraged as a divine pattern in these passages: Mark 6: 7, Act 13: 1-3?
Conclusion
Christian stewardship is aimed at helping us to fulfill the purpose for which God created us with the things He has provided. Sometimes, individuals who have specific gifts have started a denomination around themselves and their gifts because they cannot stay under someone else’s leadership. Some also feel they are forced to move elsewhere because they are denied platforms to use their gifts. No individual is complete; rather we all need each other to grow into Christ.

DIOCESAN REDEDICATION SERVICE OF MOTHERS UNION/ANGLICAN YOUTH FELLOWSHIP (AYF) HELD ON SUNDAY 18TH JANUARY, 2026AT CATHEDRAL CHURCH OF HOLY TRINITY LOKOJA.

His Grace, The Most Rev’d Emmanuel A. S. Egbunu PhD. In his message, highlighted two (2) key points on the important service:
1. The theme of the year. My Year of Divine Remembrance taken from Gen. 21:1-2; 1 Sam. 1:28; Heb. 6:10
2. The importance of Rededication
He said Genesis 21 is intentional because God had SAID. When God says a thing he fulfills it because he is a promise keeping God as he remembered Sarah. What God did was to fulfill His promise and commitment.
When there is a divine intervention, God fulfills His promise 1 Sam 1:13. Yearly, Elkanah and his family would travel to Shiloh to worship and sacrifice to the LORD Almighty. At the tabernacle, Hannah made a commitment to God. When they returned home, Elkanah knew his wife and the LORD remembered her request.
To REMEMBER means DON’T FORGET.
When the child was weaned, Hannah took him to the Tabernacle in Shiloh with some gift items. When God do something for you raise an altar, in other words, don’t forget when God remember you.
The bible says in Hebrew 6:10, God is not unjust; He will not forget your work and the love you have for him. Whatsoever you do, do it for God sake.
Eli’s children were not right by not obeying God. God raise Samuel who was dedicated. God called Samuel three (3) times as recorded in 1 Samuel chapter 3.
In conclusion, His Grace encouraged the Mother’s Union and AYF to make themselves available today as rededication is a time to reach out.

ADVENT TEACHING: ESSENTIALS OF THE CHRISTIAN LIFE 2
No one likes stagnation: not Parents, not Teachers, not Pastors. Not any individual. No one wants to remain a dwarf. All mentors want to see those whom they nurture grow to maturity and take their place in the scheme of things. So it is with the Christian life – we must keep adding virtue upon virtue ad Infinitum. That is the way it is meant to be.
