During A.A. Allen’s healing revival in Birmingham, AL, a mother from Knoxville brought her son for prayer. David was almost three years old and had been called “the most underdeveloped boy ever born in Tennessee.” He was paralyzed on his right side, blind in one eye, deaf, and mute. He couldn’t even crawl because his limbs were like twisted sticks and his feet were deformed. All total, he had twenty-six major diseases or defects in his body. His mother had been told by one doctor “only God can help your boy now.”

David’s mother took that statement literally. When she heard that Allen would be holding meetings in Birmingham, she knew she had to get there. As a single mother in 1959 with a special-needs child, this was no small task. Although it cost her all she had, she drove the 250 miles alone with her boy to get him to the revival. The Great Physician did not disappoint.
What happened at that meeting in Birmingham is called the “greatest miracle of A.A. Allen’s ministry.” As Allen held the boy in his arms and wept over him, suddenly two bright blue pupils appeared where once there was only the milky-grey of blindness. The boy’s limbs began to morph like putty into the correct shape.

His tongue, which had hung out of his mouth limply before, snapped inside his mouth, and he began to call out his first words “Mama! Mama!” And when he caught sight of her, he took his first steps to go embrace his mother. He was completely healed!
However, the Lord did not end there. God wasn’t going to leave anything unfinished. The tent was full of people with significant needs. Spontaneously, with no one praying for them, every person in a wheelchair stood up altogether, totally healed. Every person in a stretcher got up the same way. People began running to the front so they could throw their hearing aids on the altar.

Then came the glasses. Then came the walking sticks for the blind. Every single person was healed as the glory of God rested under that tent that night.

Sometime in the early 90's,dangote had an encounter that set his foot on the path of destiny.
Archbishop bensn Idahosa had some guests who needed to travel back urgently from benin to lagos to catch up their flight to the US. Unfortunately by the time the archbishop took his guests to the airport they were told that the last flight for the day was overbooked and not a single seat was available
As a matter of fact,the passengers have boarded and were about to take off. Idahosa asked for the plane to be delayed as few minutes and walked to the tarmac where he was allowed to address the passengers. He pleaded with them about the desperate situation of his guests and asked that two persons should donate their seats for his guests to get to Lagos. None of the people batted an eyelid. some pretended to be asleep,some pretended to be praying and the man of God stood in hopeful expectation.
From the back of the plane,a young man asked the person sitting next to him to get up and together they vacated their seats for the American visitors (T.L osborn and his wife). Idahosa stopped him (dangote) in the aisle of the plane and asked ;
YOUNG MAN WHAT'S YOUR NAME? AND WHAT DO YOU DO?
My name is ALIKO DANGOTE and this my assistant. I am a trader, a business man.
It was there and then that Idahosa prophesied to him that "THE WORLD WILL GET UP FOR YOU"
He prayed that God should take his business beyond Africa and bless him beyond measure.

According to CAC, he his one of God's special apostles that walked the world.he came to a village was known for witchcraft and he said to them, let's not meet in the night, people will not see us.

He gave them 2hours to kill him and he took a seat and sat down, that if they don't kill him in 2hours he will kill them..

The villagers now gathered, nobody was hungry, hunger left the whole village. Then ,after 2 hours Babalola now stood up.

The first thing he did was that he called the name of JESUS, and physical fire came down from heaven and consumed the witchcraft tree where they hold meetings. The fire was snapped, it's on picture. When fire consumed the tree, there was no need to continue the service, the witches took off their hamlet, chains, charms and they threw it in the fire

To mention but a few, people came from Cameroun, Port Novo, Cotonou, Dahomey, Sudan, Accra in Gold Coast (now Ghana), Ivory Coast, Sierra Leone, Gambia and Spain. Hospitals were reportedly deserted by patients for healing at crusade grounds. Members of the historic churches abandoned services for revival meetings. As stressed by Adegboyega: …drunkards, sexually immoral persons, sorcerers, witches and wizards, magicians and juju priests trooped out, surrendering their instruments, charms and idols to be burnt.

Many people enjoyed divine healing. According to Adegboyega, A number of hospitals became empty as patients left for divine healing at crusade grounds. The older churches almost became empty because members rushed out en masse to the scenes of the revival.

Each revival service was preceded by spiritual songs with heavy clapping of hands led by Babalola’s revival assistants. This was followed by the sermon- which in most cases was centred on salvation, holiness, and experiencing God’s Pentecostal touch in every aspect of life, especially in divine healing of bodily ailments. After this were prayer, deliverance and healing sessions. Revival meetings were scheduled for evenings, while prayer meetings were observed in all revival grounds every morning.

The revival was characteristically evangelical as reflected above. The main emphasis was turning people’s hearts back to God, abandoning all previous evil works.

The blind were made to see, the lame walked, the deaf heard and evil spirits came out crying. The magicians and those who possessed dangerous weapons of black power submitted them freely. Those who came with evil spirits and sorcery powers fell flat before God’s power… Hundreds of thousands repented of their sins and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour.

Among his jaw_dropping miracles was the one he performed in a small town during his days. as usual,he started his evangelism but something strange happened

He noticed that there were no response nor excitment during his ministration. this is unusual and Apostle Ayo Babalola senses a bad omen.he was unrest,after hours of powerful ministration no one came out to give their life to Christ.

After the program Apostle Ayo Babalola went on his knees and prayed fervently.

WHAT IS THE MATTER? He ASKED.
God responded you would have asked earlier,God told him to be patient till midnight as he's going to unveil the dark. he was directed to a stream in that town. This is a small town with no light or any infastructure but he knew his God never disappoints. At the stream, he was holding just a lamp.This was around 12pm at midnight.

He started praising and worshipping God until he started hearing some roaring sound in the river.

A strange creature emerged from the river,it came in a feminine form. the creature looked at him and said, "man of the living God",you are welcome to this place.

I don't want to fight with you only let us negotiate,the creature said

Babalola denied abruptly!
"There would be no negotiation!"

Creature : you can take other side of the river while this side belongs to me

"No way!" Babalola cuts the negotiation

This angered the creature,
I have been here before you, where have you been?

Babalola : "I don't know where I was but one thing I know is that Christ Jesus died for all people on the side of the river and on the other side you are claiming,in the beginning was the word,and the word was with God. All things were made by him and without him was not anything made that was made.

After hearing this, it fell helplessly into the river and it's blood flowed on the stream.

This was the end of the creature and a new beginning in the town.

Babalola’s strange experience started on the night of September 25th, 1928 when he suddenly became restless and could not sleep. This went on for a week and he had no inkling of the causes of such a strange experience. The climax came one day when he was, as usual, working on the Ilesa-Igbara-Oke road. Suddenly the steam roller’s engin stopped to his utter amazement. There was no visible mechanical problem, and Joseph became confused and perplexed. He was in this state of confusion when a great voice “like the sound of many waters” called him three times. The voice was loud and clear and it told him that he would die if he refused to heed the divine call to go into the world and preach. Babalola did not want to listen to this voice and he responded like many of the Biblical prophets, who, when they were called out by Yahweh as prophets, did not normally yield to the first call. Men like Moses and Jeremiah submitted to God only when it became inevitable. So, Babalola gave in only after he had received the assurance of divine guidance.

To go on the mission, he had to resign his appointment with the Public Works Department. Mr. Fergusson, the head of his unit, tried to dissuade him from resigning but the young man was bent on going on the Lord’s mission.

The same voice came to Joseph a second time asking him to fast for seven days. He obeyed and at the end of the period he saw a great figure of a man who, according to Pastor Alokan, resembled Jesus The man in a dazzling robe spoke at length about the mission he was to embark upon. The man also told him of the persecutions he would face and at the same time assured him of God’s protection and victory. A hand prayer bell was given to Babalola as a symbol. He was told that the sound of the bell would always drive away evil spirits. He was also given a bottle of “life-giving water” to heal all manners of sickness. Consequently, wherever and whenever he prayed into water for therapeutic purposes, effective healing was procured for those who drank the water. Thus, Babalola became a prophet and a man with extraordinary powers. Enabled by the power of the Holy Spirit he could spend several weeks in prayer. Elder Abraham Owoyemi of Odo-Owa, said that the prophet regularly saw angels who delivered divine messages to him..

THE CHURCH REJECTED SPEAKING IN TONGUES || AZUSA STREET REVIVAL

February 22,1906 william j seymour preached at Julia Hutchins church at the corner of ninth street and santa fe avenue,during is first sermon he preached that speaking in tongues was first biblical evidence of the inevitable infilling of the holy spirit. On the following sunday,March 4,he returned to the church and found that Hutchins had padlocked the door. Elders of the church rejected seymour's teaching,primarily because he has not experience it.

Condemnation of his message also came from "the holiness church association of southern california" with which the church had affliation.

Seymour and his small group of new followers soon relocated to the home of Richard and Ruth Asberry at 216 north bonnie bae street. So they get together and prayed to receive the baptism of the holy spirit. On April 9th 1906, after five weeks of Seymour's preaching and prayer,and three days into an intended 10-day fast, Edward S Lee spoke in tongues for the first time,and soon six others began to speak in tongues as well, including Jennie moore,who would later become seymour's wife, a few days later,on April 12,Seymour spoke in tongues for the first time after praying all night. News of the events quickly circulated among the African American,Latino and white residents of the city for several nights,various speakers would preach to the crowds of curious and interested onlookers.

Hutchins ( the woman that chased Seymour from her church) eventually spoke in tongues. As her whole congregation began to attend the meetings. Soon the crowds became very large and were full of people speaking in tongues, shouting and singing, Because of the population they had to relocate.

The Apostolic Faith Mission on Azusa street, now considered to be the birth place of Pentecostalism.
