HON. DR. JUSTICE ABDULKARIM A. ARUWA FELICITATES MUSLIMS ON EID-IL-ADHA

The Grand Khadi of the Shariah Court of Appeal, Kogi State, Hon. Dr. Justice Abdulkarim A. Aruwa, has congratulated the Kogi State Muslim Ummah and Muslims across the world on the occasion of this year’s Eid-il-Adha celebration.

In his Eid message, Justice Aruwa described Eid-il-Adha as a season that symbolizes obedience, sacrifice, patience, and unwavering faith, as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and Prophet Ismail (AS).

He urged Muslims to imbibe the virtues of compassion, generosity, fear of Allah, and peaceful coexistence, while also extending support to the less privileged in society.

The Grand Khadi further called on residents of Kogi State to continue promoting peace, unity, and mutual understanding for the progress and development of the state.

Justice Aruwa also appreciated His Excellency, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo, FCNA, Executive Governor of Kogi State, for his continuous support to Muslims and religious organizations in the state, praying that Allah rewards him abundantly.

He equally offered prayers for Kogi State pilgrims currently performing Hajj in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, praying for Allah’s acceptance of their Hajj and their safe return home.

He concluded by wishing all Muslims a peaceful and fulfilling Eid-il-Adha celebration, praying that Allah accepts their sacrifices and blesses the nation with peace, unity, and prosperity.

ASSALAMU ALAIKUM WARAHMATULLAHI WABARAKATUH

SPECIAL EID-UL-ADHA FELICITATION MESSAGE

The COUNCIL OF ULAMAU, KOGI STATE CHAPTER, heartily felicitates with His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, members of the State Executive Council, traditional rulers, religious leaders, political stakeholders, and the entire Muslim Ummah in Kogi State and beyond on the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Adha 1447AH.

Eid-ul-Adha is a sacred season of sacrifice, obedience, compassion, and unwavering faith in Almighty Allah. It reminds us of the noble virtues exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (AS) — total submission to the will of Allah, patience, selflessness, and commitment to humanity. Likewise, the Day of Arafat teaches us humility, repentance, unity, devotion, and sincere supplication to Allah.

As we celebrate this blessed festival, we call on all Muslims and citizens of our dear state to remain law-abiding, peaceful, tolerant, and committed to the unity, progress, and development of Kogi State and Nigeria at large. Let us use this period to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood, extend love to the less privileged, and promote peaceful coexistence among all people.

We pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) accepts our sacrifices, prayers, fasting, and acts of worship. May He continue to guide and protect our leaders with wisdom, strength, justice, and good health in the service of humanity. May Allah grant lasting peace, security, prosperity, and abundant blessings to Kogi State and our nation.

Eid Mubarak!

THE LAST LINE – FANTASTIC TEN

“No matter the size or cost of a ram, it can only suffice for one person in Uḍḥiyah (Ileya sacrifice). Yet no matter how small a cow may be, once it fulfills the conditions of the Sharī‘ah, up to seven people may share in it.”

النص حكم والعقل تبع

The proof for this is found in the authentic Sunnah.

Jābir ibn ‘Abdillāh رضي الله عنه said:
“We performed sacrifice with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the year of Ḥudaybiyyah: a camel on behalf of seven, and a cow on behalf of seven.”
— Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim (1318)

And in another narration:
“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded us to share in camels and cows, each seven people sharing in one animal.”
— Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim

Imām an-Nawawī رحمه الله said:
“This ḥadīth clearly proves the permissibility of seven people sharing in a camel or a cow for sacrifice, and the scholars are unanimously agreed upon this.”
— Sharḥ Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim

Ibn Qudāmah رحمه الله said:
“A sheep or ram only suffices for one person, while a camel or cow suffices for seven.”
— Al-Mughnī (13/363)

So the rulings of worship are built upon revelation and submission, not upon size, price, or human reasoning.

Allah knows best.

May Allah accept it from you and us. Āmīn.

اللهم تقبل منا ومنكم صالح الأعمال

Allāhu Musta‘ān.

AVOID THEM

Avoid being among those who do not seek help from Allaah during difficult times, as they neglect to thank Him in moments of ease:

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ:
❝مَنْ سَرَّهُ أَنْ يَسْتَجِيبَ اللَّهُ لَهُ عِنْدَ الشَّدَائِدِ وَالْكُرَبِ فَلْيُكْثِرِ الدُّعَاءَ فِي الرَّخَاءِ❞

Abu Hurairah (RA) narrated that the Messenger of Allaah ﷺ said:
❝Whoever wishes that Allaah responds to him during hardships and difficulties should increase in Du‘aa during times of ease.❞

📚 [Sunan al-Tirmidhee (3383) — graded Hasan by Shaikh al-Albaanee]

May Allaah accept it from us and from you. Aameen.

Allaahu Musta’aan
