What is Addiction?
Addiction is the condition of being enslaved to a habit or practice to an extent that stopping it will cause severe trauma.
Addiction is an abnormally strong craving for something or activity.

The Addictive Circle
Desire -> Action -> Consequences
James 1:13-15 (NKJV)
Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.

How to Break free
1. Be determined to change- You need to admit that what youre doing is wrong or disruptive
2. Reflect on why you do what you do.
3. Abandon foolish thinking - many of the habits we fall into, is because we did not think it through.
4. Meditate on God’s word. Replace your own thoughts with God’s thoughts, Philippians 4:8 (NKJV) - Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.
5. Distance yourself from those activities, environments and people where you can relapse.
