Founded on the 31st of December 1995, Calvary Bible Church is the church arm of “the Truth of Calvary Ministries”. It grew rapidly and has continued to be a strong Church ever since. It has been marked by innovative leadership, commitment to excellence and

openness to change. Olumide Emmanuel has been the General Overseer since inception with Olusegun Abraham as her resident pastor. In total the Church has about eighteen assistant and associate pastors. Calvary Bible Church is now a multi-faceted Church seeking to make an impact in the Lagos metropolis and beyond. Each Sunday with an average of 2000 attendees, the Church seeks to be focused in growth and ministry by clearly defining her vision, mission and values.

What is spiritual posture? This is the condition of your heart before God, it reflects your

What posture do we need for divine visitation.
1. Humility; attracts God’s attention, pride pushes him away. [James 4:6 (NKJV) - But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” ]

2. The posture of “Hunger”: Matthew 5:6 (NKJV) - Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled.

3. The posture of expectation; If you don’t expect, you will not possess: Acts 3:1-8

4. The posture of Obedience; The miracle of w**e at cana of Galilee happened because of obedience. [ John 2:5 (NKJV) - His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.” ]

5. The posture of prayer; Luke 18:1-8

6. The posture of Faith

7. The posture of Holiness [ Psalm 24:3-4 (NKJV) - Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully. ]
