TEXTS: FIRST LESSON 1SAMUEL 3:8-18
SECOND LESSON 2TIMOTHY 1:1-14

CCC HYMN 458 FEAR ye not fear ye not FEAR ye not fear ye not FEAR ye not fear ye not Jesus Christ the Conqueror in Heaven for we the members of Celestial Church Fear ye not fear ye not. Amen

TOPIC:THE SPIRIT OF FEAR

God in the beginning created us to have dominion over all creatures but the moment man sinned fear came in Gen 3:9-10

Samuel in the first lesson was afraid to deliver the message of God to Eli the priest but Eli encourages him to speak, Timothy in the second lesson was also afraid and Apostle Paul made it to be known to him that 2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Fear is an unpleasant emotion caused by the threat of danger, pain or harm a feeling of anxiety

Fear is the opposite of Faith

Celestial hymn echoes and question us that KI lo nba o le ru ko wi eru ko si ninu okan mi to ri Jehovah nbe la ye eru ko si ninu okan mi

Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Whatever you are afraid of is what happens to you

Job 3:25 For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.

No one possessed the spirit of fear and progresses in life

Read Numbers 13 for extensive teaching the story of the 10 spies who went to spy Jericho and brought a bad report to Moses because of fear of the Anak but Joshua and Caleb had a strong courage

Read 1Samuel 17 for extensive teaching the story of Israel and the philistine when they gather to war that the dread of the philistine was upon the Israelites and all the Israelites was filled with the spirits of fear and no one among the armies had the courage to face Goliath but a shepherd boy confidently confronted him and gained victory over him.

SUNDAY 7TH JUNE 2026 (JUVENILE HARVEST)

TEXTS: FIRST LESSON PROVERBS 4:20-27
SECOND LESSON LUKE 18:15-17

TOPIC: LET THE LITTLE CHILDREN COME

CCC HYMN:827 LET all the little children come, LET all the little children come LET all the little children come, LET all the little children come, Tenderly little children tenderly they friends to the God Almighty let the little children come. Amen

King Solomon in the first lesson spake in proverbs while Jesus Christ our Lord in the second lesson spake in parables. Do not forget that without parables Jesus did not speak to his disciples

this was what brought about the saying of our Lord Jesus Christ in verse 16 saying Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

The Word little children in this context mean tender hearted and humble people which can be simply expressed as let the tender hearted and humble people come unto me for of such are the kingdom of God

Before this m, Jesus had told his disciples the story of the two men who went to the temple to pray the Pharisee and the publican verse 9-14 the Pharisee was arrogant in his heart and he went back home humbled and condemned because of pride and self righteousness but the publican who admitted and confessed his sin received mercy and went back home Justified

Proverbs 28:13 He who covers his transgressions will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes his sins will obtain mercy. [Ps. 32:3, 5; I John 1:8-10.]

The Pharisee believed in his work and self righteousness and was abased he forgot that the kingdom of God is not by work but by grace Apostle Paul in Romans 9:16 says it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy

One of the greatest sins God hate the most is pride Proverbs 6:16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
Proverbs 6:17 A proud look
and this was the sin of Lucifer before he was casted down to the pit Ezekiel 28:14-15 Isaiah 14:12-15

Jesus here in this text reveals to his disciples to know the two types of heart man possess the heart of pride and arrogance and the heart of humility this is why king Solomon in the first text cautioned his son in verse 23 saying Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

Luke 18:17 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.

James 4:6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

James 4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

Jesus the good example of Humility Apostles Paul in Philippians 2:1-11 teaches us more about Christ humility.

TEXTS: FIRST LESSON EXODUS 13:17-22
SECOND LESSON MATTHEW 3:13-

TOPIC: NEW LIFE IN CHRIST (THE BAPTISM )

CCC HYMN:: Hymn 406 STANZA 3. In the depth of the Red sea Pharaoh and all his army, all perished and woke no more, for Israelites, peacefulness when all hope was exhausted, Sea transformed into dry land, with such powers, Lead us into life everlasting.

The first lesson provided how God led the Israelites by the way of the Red Sea not because there’s no other way but the Bible purposely states that God took them by the way of the Red Sea pointing a prophetic picture centuries before Jesus Christ would walk to river Jordan to be baptized by John the Baptist

The Israelites had lived a sinful life for over 430 years in Egypt before God raised Moses to bring them out of their bo***ge

the life they lived in Egypt was the life of sin so God wanted them to live a new life so he sent Moses to deliver them this is a typical example when God sent Jesus to deliver us from the bo***ge of sin whereby to live a new life in Christ one must first undergo Baptism which was the reason why Jesus before he started his ministry did baptism

He told Nicodemus in John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Nicodemus an John 3:4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Jesus gave Nicodemus the theology of baptism and the significance

Going under the water is an emblem of burial. It represents the end of your old story. It is a declaration that your old nature—the one bound by sin, guilt, and shame—has been put to death. It is the definitive statement that you are no longer a slave to your past.

Your identity is no longer defined by your mistakes, your habits, or your failures. When you come up from the water, you are raised with a completely new identity. You are a new creation. The power of sin has been broken, and you are now a beloved child of God.

Paul the Apostle gave a notation in Romans 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

Romans 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Baptism is to live a life of obedience to God this is what Jesus our Lord told John by saying Matthew 3:15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.

This was what God so in Christ that the voice came unto him saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Who ever keeps the commandments of God is a beloved child God

John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

baptism is a powerful call to identity and obedience. It highlights three core truths: it fulfills the command of Christ, symbolizes our death and resurrection in Him, and serves as an outward declaration of our new life.

BIBLE TEXT: 1KINGS 18:27-39

TOPIC: JEHOVAH THE ALMIGHTY (VERSE 39)

CCC HYMN: 257 JEHOVAH, the powerful, the powerful the Holy one, Jehovah the powerful the powerful the Holy one the holy one and most glorious king, please give unto us thy power of Holy Spirit, please give us thy power thy power of Holy Spirit Today to magnify most blessed glory, Today to magnify thy most blessed glory Amen.

The story highlights the prophet of Baals contending with the prophet of God and God sovereignty was revealed whereby the prophet of Baals acknowledges JEHOVAH the ALMIGHTY

1 Kings 18:39 And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, The LORD, he is the God; the LORD, he is the God.

No power on earth can contend with the power of the Almighty God He is the sovereign Lord above all creation, tell me how can a creation defeat the creator?

When we chase idols, we give our time, energy, and devotion to something that cannot save us, leaving us spiritually empty.

Will you continue to limp between two opinions, or will you surrender entirely to the God who answers by fire?.

The Bible gave a notation in Joshua chapter 24 verse 14 and 15 Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD.

Joshua 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

Psalms 135:5 For I know that the LORD is great, and that our Lord is above all gods.

Read Psalms 115 to buttressed points

SUNDAY 10TH MAY 2026

TEXTS: FIRST LESSON EXODUS 3:1-10
SECOND LESSON JOHN 16:7-16

TOPIC: PUT OFF THY SHOES

CCC HYMN:205 GOD the King of heavenly light, everlasting King, owner of eternal rnal glory
Before whose presence, However little the sin,
Cannot come near thee, who with love calleth all sinners to see the glory. Etc

God heard the voice and cry of his people in the land of
Egypt, whereby he called unto Moses while tending the flocks of his father in law RUEL (JETHRO) at the back of the desert in Horeb he met with him.

The Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a burning bush, the bush burned with fire and was not consumed this got Moses attention to see why the bush burned and was not consumed and the voice of God called unto him out of the midst of the burning bush saying Moses Moses and he answered Here I Am

then the Lord told him PUT OFF THY SHOES from thy feet for the place thou standeth is a holy ground

The command to put off Moses shoe does not literally mean the shoe, but the shoe of unrighteousness the shoe of sin, remember Moses was once a muderer and a thief who stole the magic book of Pharaoh in Egypt before he ran to median Exodus:2 it was this habits and the old lifestyle God is telling Moses to put off now that He God is sending him.

This is why He told Moses not to draw near

Exodus 3:5 And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.

What old lifestyles are you living that those not glorify Jesus, the Lord is calling you to abstain from such today

For no matter how little the sin it can never come near God, this is why in the previous hymn 205 says

However little the sin,
Cannot come near thee, who with love calleth all sinners to see the glory.

Before one can come closer to God he/she must be pure no wonder the Bible says Psalms 24:3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?

Psalms 24:4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

A man must first be purified purged and renewed in spirit before he can access God’s presence

Jesus told Nicodemus John 3:3 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

When God chooses a man for a task He first purged them of their sin, this is what He did to Moses when He appeared has a flame of fire 🔥 anywhere the fire 🔥 appears it signify the presence of the Holy Spirit it was this same fire that descended upon the Apostles in

Acts 2:3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

It was this same fire 🔥 God used to lead the Israelites in the wilderness whereby He led them by pillar of cloud and of fire in Exodus 13:21

this same fire was used to sanctify His Prophet Isaiah in Isaiah 6:6 Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:
Isaiah 6:7 And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.

The same fire is what Jesus Christ our Lord promised His disciples in the second lesson whereby He said

John 16:8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
Alleluia!!!

Summary

They are certain stages in life whereby men ought to leave the things of old and live a new life this why Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 13:11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

Remember today that this present stage and Junction of your life is the junction of Holiness this is why the voice echoes to you today

Exodus 3:5 that Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.

The Bible gave a notation 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

CCC HYMN 743 : Ye children of Celestial, Burst with joy in this Celestial fold, Because his love abideth with us

Ye children of Celestial, Burst with joy in this Celestial fold, Because his love abideth with us…:

TOPIC: A CALL FOR ATTENTION (Verse 20)

God sometimes allows adversity to be our food not to harm us, but to get our attention when we are walking away from Him. This adversity is a form of discipline meant to draw us into a deeper dependence on Him, not to abandon us.

God uses trials to remove impurities in character and faith, making believers stronger and more reliant on Him rather than themselves.

Hebrews chapter 12:7-8 suggests God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

The Israelites were enslaved for 430years in Egypt God uses their slavery to train them to become what they are today been the most powerful nation.

Your present suffering does not mean you have been neglected, but God is using it to prepare you for a better version.

Isaiah 48:10 Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.

Isaiah 48:11 For mine own sake, even for mine own sake, will I do it: for how should my name be polluted? and I will not give my glory unto another.

Job 23:10 (NIV): "But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold."

Texts: First lesson Daniel 7:23-28
Second lesson Revelation 20:11-15

CCC HYMN 283 O HEARKEN all ye people to the voice of the Lord, the day of judgement draws near, that ye shall be reckoned

Chorus: All the whole world have sinned, And fallen short of His glory, O sinner the of Jesus shall save us all, No other way that leads unto salvation, be prepared all ye people to accept Jesus.

TOPIC: ETERNAL JUDGMENT {verse 26} and {verse 11&12}

There’s nothing on earth that has beginning without an end, and there’s nothing we do on earth that has no reward. This is why the Bible reviews in Revelation 22:12
That behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

The Bible gave a notation in Hebrews chapter 9:verse 27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

Which simply means death is the end of the beginning, after death, is judgement. and as it is certain that every man must die for there is no one on earth that exempts death

This is the main reason why everyone must take cognizance of repenting

The vision of the coming judgment was revealed to Daniel in the first lesson whereby he said judgment shall sit Verse 26 of which John the beloved in the second lesson called it the great white throne in the second lesson

We observed kingdoms in the first lesson whereby the kingdoms in the days of the prophets and the Israelites are not literarily this earthly kingdom but the Spiritual kingdoms and what can we liken to this kingdoms

Human habits Character can be be compared to this kingdom a man with pride is dominated by the king of pride, a man who fornicates is dominated by the king of Adultery etc

Here in that first lesson there is a shift of kingdom to a kingdom that ruled eternally which is the kingdom of God

Every character we possess on earth shall be judged at the end we shall all stand before the great throne of God to give account on how we live our lives on earth at the end is the Judgment.

FRIDAY EVENING DEVOTION
1ST MAY 2026

TEXT: ISAIAH 26:14-21

CCC HYMN 701 : IT is me thy Lord, fear not ye the world, it is me thy lord, fear not ye the world, fear not ye Celestial, fear not ye the world, fear not ye Celestial, fear not ye, the world.

TOPIC: THE PROMISE OF RESURRECTION { verse 19}

God spoke through prophet Isaiah the word of hope to the people of Israel saying their dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead. Isaiah 26:19

What situation seems impossible for you what is dead about you at this present moment the Lord says thus that they shall live again so therefore arise and celebrate for your life-giving light will fall like dew
on your people in the place of the dead!

Ezekiel 37 is a proven verse The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones,

Ezekiel 37:2 And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry.

Ezekiel 37:3 And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest.

Ezekiel 37:4 Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.

Ezekiel 37:5 Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:

Ezekiel 37:6 And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

Ezekiel 37:7 So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone.

Ezekiel 37:8 And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them.

Conclusion

God will raise His people, promising life even in darkness. It encourages waiting on God during crises, trusting His power to overcome death, and hiding in His protection during judgment.

This is a firm promise of resurrection a hope fully realized in Jesus Christ, ensuring that death does not have the final word for the faithful.

WEDNESDAY EVENING DEVOTION
29TH APRIL 2026

TEXT: MATTHEW 12:32-37

CCC HYMN: 18 FORGIVE me, thy child O’Father Before thee I have come to confess Forgive me thy chid O Father Forgive me thy child O Father By my tongue I have sinned against Thee. By my walking I have sinned against thee, By my conduct I have sinned thee Before thee I have come to confess Forgive me, thy child O Father Forgive me thy child O Father.

TOPIC: SPEAKING AGAINST THE HOLY SPIRIT ( Verse 32 )

To speak against the Holy Spirit is to ascribe what belongs to God to a mere mortal man, or equating ordinary man with God the Most High just the way the Pharisees had done in this text, whereby they referenced the work of the Holy Ghost to Beelzebub

The Bible says in Isaiah 42:8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

The Pharisees tried to depopulate the population of those who believed in God through the miracle wrought by Jesus with the words of their mouth, but Jesus knowing their thought replied them saying Anyone who speaks against the Son of Man can be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven, either in this world or in the world to come. Matthew 12:32

He thus says further in verse 36-37, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Examining the two thieves hanging in between our Lord Jesus Christ in Luke chapter 23:39-42 during His crucifixion one was Justified by his words and the other was condemned by his words.

Several times many believers today speaks against the HolySpirit just exactly the way the Pharisees had done in this text, through the word we speak, through our actions and behavior and most especially through our unbelief

no wonder the Bible says in James 3:2 For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.

Lessons to learn

1 we must learn to celebrate good things, to be a lover of good things (Titus 1:8)

2 Character is known by its actions. To change the output, one must first change the input (the heart).

3 all careless words will be visited on judgment day

4 Speech is a direct reflection of a person’s inner character and spiritual condition, whether good or evil.

5 While most sins are forgiven, attributing the Holy Spirit’s work to Satan (malicious, hardened, persistent rejection of God) is the unforgivable sin.
