RE-SHARPEN YOUR GAZE

Hebrews 11:2 KJV
“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Today, one of the biggest challenges believers face is maintaining focus on what truly matters. In a world filled with distractions, our walk with God and personal goals can easily be hindered by diverse temptations pulling us from different directions. Yielding to these temptations can lead to spiritual stagnation and misplaced priorities.

To combat this, we must train our minds to remain focused on God’s purpose for our lives. As our opening text encourages, we must fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. Fixing our eyes on Jesus requires acknowledging His place in our lives as the source of our salvation and the only one capable of leading us to the finish line of our destinies. When we set our focus on Him, we align our daily activities with God’s will, eliminating distractions and confusion.

Today, take intentional steps to evaluate time-stealing activities in your life. Make a daily decision to realign your priorities by seeking God’s guidance in prayer and meditating on His Word because where prayer and meditation are present, taking the right steps in all you do becomes easy. Glory to God!

START-UP PRAYER:
Father, help me to fix my focus on You. Remove every distraction that pulls me away from Your purpose, and grant me the grace to prioritize what truly matters today in Jesus Name.

PURSUE GOD DILIGENTLY

📖 Deuteronomy 4:29 KJV
‘But if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.’

Being accustomed to seeking God only in times of crisis is fast becoming a trend among believers. God desires to be sought always and not used as a quick fixer. This misplaced pursuit of Him creates a limitation to how much of His power we experience in our lives, and because the intention is wrong, we miss out on the father-son relationship He truly desires to have with all His children.

Pursuing God requires wholehearted submission to His will, as our opening scripture emphasizes. Choosing to focus only on what He gives and not consciously building a relationship with Him limits our access to our inheritance as heirs of the kingdom. Since every aspect of our lives is encompassed in His will, we must develop the habit of fervently chasing after Him – just as a man passionately pursues the woman he loves. When we seek Him with all our heart and soul, He reveals Himself in ways that transforms every area of our lives. Hallelujah!

Therefore, make the decision today to pursue God for who He is, and not just for what He can do. Spend time daily in the Word, in prayer, and in worship, building a genuine relationship with Him. As you do these, the challenges you face will become stepping stones rather than stumbling blocks. Glory God!

START- UP PRAYER:
Oh Lord, help me to pursue You with all my heart and soul. Cause my desire for You go beyond my circumstances, and my relationship with You to grow deeper every day in Jesus Name.

*ONESOUND DEVOTIONAL BOX*
( Devotional Tract by Prophet. Isaiah & Prophetess Lianna Wealth)

🗓 Friday, 22nd July 2022.
(JULY: The Month of OPEN DOORS)

📖 *Scriptural Text:*
*_(Jude 1:20 KJV)_*
_“ But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost."_

▫️▫️▫️▫️
A person who experiences miracles, signs, and wonders is a praying person. He or She is one who is sensitive to spiritual things. Our opening scriptures above admonishes us to build up our most holy faith which is praying in the Holy Ghost.

A consistent prayer life is an open heaven life. To fully engage in an open heaven life and realm, it is mandatory to have a prayer life which will require us constantly seeking the face of God and fellowshipping with the Holy Spirit. To fellowship with the Holy Ghost is to pray in tongues. This takes a lot of discipline, determination, and focus, especially in the kind of world we live in today.

This is a wake-up call to your prayer life; choose to hunger for more of God’s presence and relationship. It is time to live in an open heaven life by manifesting and basking in all of His glory and fullness through the help of His spirit.

🌍 *PRAY FOR NATIONS & LEADERS*

Japan 🇯🇵….

_*Background:*_ 68% are unreached with the Gospel. About 70% are Buddhists. The impact of the Japanese Church on the nation is inadequate. The Church must turn from its insular, bunker mentality to engage with society. There is need to have new paradigms of ministry to reach their world.

🙏 We are praying for the Gospel of Christ to prevail in the nation of Japan.

🙏 *Prayer for leaders/nation:* We pray against wrong advisors to the President, may all their demonic-inspired counsel be exposed and destroyed in Jesus name.

Sin

Sins are those things we do know or unknown to us, which hinders God's blesses from coming to us or separate us from God's protection, guidance, love etc. In Galatians 5:19-21, 2 Timothy 3:2 and other passages in the bible where the work of the flesh (sin) are stated. Some people think that there are small and big sins but before God, sin is sin. The best way to define sin is to compare it with something much more familiar—viruses. Most of us have experienced a cold or the flu. Both are fairly minor but viruses have caused large-scale outbreaks throughout history. We have seen examples of these even recently.

Each of these outbreaks caused illness and death across multiple continents and people groups. Sin is similar in that you can also point to past outbreaks. The first one happened soon after the earth was formed. When God finished creating the world, He said it was “very good.” There was no suffering, problems or evil.

This was true until the first man (Adam) and woman (Eve) disobeyed God. In that moment, sin arrived and sparked a pandemic of sin. The Bible says, “When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned” (Romans 5:12). This outbreak of sin continues today and it’s the most serious challenge we face.

A virus infects a person by injecting parts of itself into our good cells. Then the virus reprograms those cells to make more of the virus. Sin is a spiritual virus that infects every part of our lives. Once it gets a foothold, it begins to grow. Sin can affect us physically, but it makes us spiritually and morally weak. If left unchecked, it will invade your emotions, conscience, desires and every other part of you. The Bible adds, “And when sin is allowed to grow, it gives birth to death” (James 1:15).

It’s possible to overcome sin, but we can’t do it on our own. We need God’s help.
