THERE'S HOPE

"For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion"—(Eccl.9:4)

Times may be hard. Times can be tough. But no matter the situation, there's still hope. There's hope if you're still breathing. Yes, how amazing is that breathe that you have. Don't make that costly mistake. Wait, look again, you may soon find a way out.

Yes, sooner that you expect. Help is on the way. Look to the horizon and be at peace. If you can feel the sun, there's hope. If you have the rain, there's hope. Remember, everyone has a problem they are going through. In the season of the cross walk, I want you to think about this one thing:

"Make your minds ready, and keep on the watch, hoping with all your power for the grace which is to come to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ (1Pet.1:13/ESV)

THERE'S HOPE

THE GLUE

There's something that binds us together to life. It makes us to always want to keep living. We may lose other things. No qualms. But when it's taken from us we fall into pieces. And things fall apart. It gives meaning to our whole existence telling us what really matters. With it we see colours in our world, even when it's dark, and lights up our relationships in a loving way.

Losing it spells doom and we're filled with gloom. Having it creates, for us, big room. With it we see opportunities, and apply ourselves thoughtfully to situations, and creatively for great advancement. This thing, this idea is our compass—our way finder. Love loses it's taste and lovers part ways. Economies can been wasted, and war made a reality. In it's absence men are corrupted. The Loss of it is the loss of eternity. It makes a living dog better than a dead lion. It infuses us with hope. Vision is paramount. Without it we're a dead meat.

"Where there's no VISION the people perish" (Prov.29:18)

GET A NAME!

Judges 7:20—'The...companies...cried, "The sword of the LORD, and of GIDEON"'.

If an organization must survive and thrive, everyone must come under one name. Name is everything—our brand. But what's in a Name? Biblical languages translate Name as "Authority, Character, Honour". God's intention is that for us to be organized, there must be one authority/honour/character for vision flows from the top (Ps.133).

For example, it's not a cultural conspiracy against women that they should come under the husband's name contrary to current fights to include her father's name alongside. It's a holy obligation. This is to organize humanity. Until we learn to submit all visions under one authority, we're just scatterers. Those who don't gather with God are scatterers (Matt.12:20). Even God didn't lift His word/vision above His name/character. He harmonized them.

"You have done great things to carry out your word (Vision) CONSISTENT with your name (Character)" (Ps.138:2/ISV).

A DO-OR-DIE AFFAIR

Judges 7:18—'say, "The SWORD of the Lord, and of Gideon"'.

Our language is "the Sword". The Bible calls Sword "God's Word" (Eph.6:17) and also "God's Revelation. Now, there's the general—Logos; and there's the specific—Rhema. They're also called "God's Vision". People go wild without Vision:

"Where there is no vision, the people are uncontrolled" (Prov.29:18/ESV)

Disunity shows vision problems. People need to think, breath, feel, talk, and walk vision. The heavens frown at those who speak differently for it's the template for every decisions—even our words.

Few years ago, someone asked a friend what I did for a living, she said, "All he talks about is his vision". He quickly enjoined, "Yes! It's all I see him write online too". Jesus sees it as do-or-die affair and hence, why I'm called to teach people about it:

"He said, "Get ready for trouble. Look to what you'll need; there are difficult times ahead/if you don’t have a sword (vision), better sell your clothes and buy one!(Luk.22:36)

TELL US A STORY

Judges 7:18—'On every side...SAY....'

How do we cure a divided culture? First, we need to understand the power of our tongue or the stories we tell. Is it not strange that when they were to go into battle, God asked them to surround the enemies camp to shout? Why this?

The Gideon story which I like to call 301 Story is an exact replica of the Passover experience. The bread was important to them in both situations. Passover in Hebrew is 'Speaking Mouth'. God told Israel to celebrate their freedom by eating bread and telling a story. Telling the story is key part of the feast. Oh, how I relish telling a story! The stories we tell in our organizations are what unite or divide us. Strife starts by the story we tell and must be cured by it for

"Where no wood is, there the fire goeth out: so where there is no talebearer, the strife ceaseth" (Prov.26:20)

If we don't start telling our story, the enemy will spread lies. We mustn't say nonsense and we mustn't shut up.

HOLY ACTIVISM (2)

Judges 7:25—"And they took two princes of the Midianites, Oreb and Zeeb; and they slew Oreb...and Zeeb they slew".

In our fight against envy, strife, divisions there's need for a holy activism—a holiness in action and action in holiness. But against who? Oreb and Zeeb. These are the bad guys that are messing up with our heads and so ought to be the target of our mass strike. Oreb means "a raven"; Zeeb means "a wolf". Put them together and we have: Ravening Wolves. These are the people Jesus warned us about:

"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are "ravening wolves" (Matt.7:15).

At the helm of affairs of a culture of envy, strife and divisions in families, churches, our country are these evil guys. They're false prophets because they peddle lies and half-truths in the system that's incongruent with God's Word. So, we must crush and flush them out! We must do what God says:

"Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb" (Ps.83:11)
