ANOTHER IMPORTANT POINT IN BIBLE STUDY IS MEDITATION
Meditation means to ponder on something; it is the opposite of worry. You know when you worry, you begin to think, and you labour in your mind when you are worried. When it comes to meditation, you apply your mind to it. Another shade of that word means to voice out something from your mind.
Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
Psalms 1:1 Blessedis the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. Vs 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. Vs 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.It says to meditate day and night.
Meditation involves fixing your thoughts and your eyes on what you have read and heard. We receive the word by reading it or by hearing it. Then it’s by meditation that we get understanding. One of the proofs of not meditating on the scriptures is when you quote a statement out of context. You heard something and you are quick to speak. You should go home, look through it, spend time meditating on it and after a while your understanding will be broadened on the matter, then you can speak.
Mark 4:24And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.
1st Timothy 4:15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.
Confession:I am a doer of the word, I meditate on the scriptures and my understanding is broadened.

Heavenly Father, thank you for your love towards me. I put my faith today in Christ. I believe that Jesus died, was buried and God raised him from the dead for me, I confess him as my Lord and Savior today. Amen.
