Theme: The Holy Spirit

What does it truly mean to live a Spirit-filled life?

In today's service, we were reminded that while every believer receives the Holy Spirit at conversion, we must also yield ourselves to His control. The Spirit should not merely reside in us; He should preside over our lives.

We reflected on:

- The Holy Spirit and the Believer — Having the Spirit is not the same as allowing Him to have control.
- Filling Is a Command to Be Obeyed — “Be filled with the Spirit” is a command for every believer, not a privilege for a select few.
- Everyone Needs the Filling of the Spirit — We need the Spirit's fullness for Christian character, service and daily living.
- The Church Needs Spirit-Filled Believers — Every member has a responsibility to live under the influence and control of the Holy Spirit.
- The World Expects Spirit-Filled Believers — Our lives should demonstrate Christ to the world, not merely our words.
- Conditions for the Filling — We began looking at forgiveness, desire and sonship, reminding us that a Spirit-filled life requires a heart that is clean, thirsty for God and surrendered to Him.

One truth stood out:

«The secret of being filled is surrender.»

We are not reservoirs; we are channels. God fills us so that His life and blessing can overflow through us to others.

Do I have the Holy Spirit? More importantly, does the Holy Spirit have me?

Theme: HOLY SPIRIT
Topic: The Personality of the Holy Spirit — Continued
📖 John 15–16; 1 Corinthians 12:11; Acts 1:8; Ephesians 4:30; 1 Corinthians 2:10; John 14:16

Today, we continued our teaching on The Personality of the Holy Spirit, going deeper into who the Holy Spirit is and how He relates with us as believers.

We were reminded that the Holy Spirit is not an impersonal force or an “it.” He is a Person—the Comforter sent by Christ, who dwells with and in God's people.

Through the Scriptures, we saw that the Holy Spirit:

✨ Has a will — He distributes spiritual gifts as He wills. (1 Cor. 12:11)
🔥 Gives power — He empowers us to be witnesses for Christ. (Acts 1:8)
💭 Knows the deep things of God — He searches and reveals the things of God. (1 Cor. 2:10)
🗣️ Speaks and testifies — He bears witness about Christ and speaks to the Church. (John 15:26; Rev. 2:7)
👣 Guides us — He leads us into truth. (John 16:13)
✝️ Glorifies Christ — His ministry always points us back to Jesus. (John 16:14)
❤️ Can be grieved — reminding us that our relationship with Him is personal. (Eph. 4:30)
🤍 Is our Comforter — sent to remain with us. (John 14:16)

The more we understand the Person of the Holy Spirit, the more we should desire to know Him, listen to Him, fellowship with Him and allow Him to lead our lives.

We were also delighted to welcome our women back from their Annual Conference in Agbowa. We thank God for journey mercies and trust that the blessings and lessons from the conference will continue to bear fruit. 🙏🏽

🕊️ Still reflecting on Sunday’s service…

Spirit, lead me.

As we began our teaching on The Personality of the Holy Spirit, we were reminded that the Holy Spirit is not a force or an “it.” He is a Person — our Comforter, Teacher, Guide and Helper.

The question is not only “Do I have the Holy Spirit?” but also:

“Am I willing to be led by Him?”

May we become more sensitive to His leading, more surrendered to His will, and more intentional about walking with Him every day.

Holy Spirit, lead us. 🕊️

And this teaching continues next Sunday. 🙏🏽

Theme: Holy Spirit
Topic: The Personality of the Holy Spirit (John 14:1–12)

Today, we were reminded that the Holy Spirit is not merely a force or influence—He is a living Person, the third Person of the Trinity.

Some key lessons from today's message:

- The Holy Spirit is our Comforter, sent to dwell with and in believers.
- He has will, intellect and emotions—He speaks, leads, teaches, loves and can be grieved.
- Because He is a Person, He can also be lied to, resisted and honoured.
- Our walk with God grows deeper when we move beyond seeking His power to cultivating fellowship with Him.

We also had a beautiful time of Holy Communion, remembering Christ's sacrifice, and joyfully celebrated our July celebrants during our Thanksgiving service. 🎉

This teaching is only the beginning—we'll continue next Sunday as we explore more about the Person and ministry of the Holy Spirit. Don't miss it!
