° To understand the place of service in your walk with God.
° To turn people/members into servant by helping them discover their gifts.
° To help every member of the church to find the right place to serve.

We are going to look into 5 points;
1. THE MEANING OF KINGDOM SERVICE
2. RENDERING ACCEPTABLE SERVICE
3. KINGDOM SERVICE AND PRIORITY
4. KIND OF SERVICE
5. REWARD FOR SERVICE

LESSON 1. THE MEANING OF SERVICE
We are not created to serve self; we are created to serve God.
Service is our passport to our inheritance in Christ.

° SERVICE – work done or duties performed for individual, government or organizations’ but in this context is for God.

° PRINCIPLE – is defined as a basic general truth that performs the foundation of something or behavior.

° PRINCIPLES OF SERVICE – is scriptural prescribed ways of serving God acceptably. Hebrews 12:28

WHY ARE YOU SHAPED
We are shaped to serve and designed to do certain things for the kingdom. Isaiah 44:21, Ephesians 2:10, Psalm 139: 14, 15

° God is a God of purposeThe talent you have, the ideas given to you are for His service
You are saved to serve. Exodus 4:23, Ephesians 2:10, 1Corinth 12:27

° You a part and there is a defined part for you to serve, when that part is missing the whole body suffers the deficiency on that part. The size of a body maybe insignificant but its function matter as a member of the body of Christ.

° What will you be remembered for; Nehemiah 13: 14

LESSON 2. RENDERING ACCEPTABLE SERVICE
HOW TO SERVE GOD
I. Serving with gladness Psalm 100:2, Ephesians 6:7
II. Serving with a perfect heart (not with condition)
III. Serving God continually (without break)
IV. Serving with humility
V. Faithfulness not face fully
VI. Serving with the fear of God
VII. Serving with faith

1. SERVING WITH GLADNESS: Services to God must not be bear as a burden (Psalm 100:2, 1Samuel 16:7, Ephesians 6:7)serving God with gladness of heart is what moves God to respond to you.man sees the outward nature of man but God sees the heart. So, service to God must be done with joy.Isaiah 12:3, Philippians 2:14, Ecclesiastes 5:20

2. SERVING WITH A PERFECT HEART: 1Corinthians 13:1 – 6, 1Chronicles 28:9rendering services to God out of a perfect heart is acceptable unto GodGod watches your motive. 2Chronicles 25:1. Serve God with a perfect heart.

3. SERVING GOD CONTINUALLY: Acts 6:4, 1Corinthians 15:58, Daniel 6:16 – 20. Serving God continually makes your service acceptable before God.Any service rendered halfheartedly will not be acceptable.

- HOW TO SERVE GOD CONTINUALLY

A. Live a praiseful life. Acts 16:25, Nehemiah 8:10

B. Live a thankful life. Psalm 92:1, Psalm 34:1

C. Live a patient life. Proverbs 27:18b, Hebrews 10:36, Galatians 6:9. Patient is a virtue.

D. Having a goal, people who know where they are going to can serve their way through. Philippians 3:13, Hebrews 12:2

4. SERVING WITH HUMILITY: Acts 20:19, James 1:6, Romans 12:3. Serving with humility sees serving God as a privilege

5. FAITHFULNESS IN SERVING GOD: Faithfulness guarantees fruitfulness. Ephesians 6: 5 – 8, Matthew 25: 21 – 23, Nehemiah 7:2, 1Corinthians 4:2

6. SERVING WITH THE FEAR OF GOD: This is acceptable before God. Hebrews 12:28. Serving with Godly fear pleases God.

7. SERVING WITH FAITH: To serve God acceptably, you need faith. Hebrews 11:6, Romans 14:23. If your service is without faith then you cannot please God.

LESSON 3. MAKING KINGDOM SERVICE YOUR FIRST PRIORITY
Matthew 6:31 – 33, putting God first in everything you do in your business, marriage etc.
- Kingdom first is a two-word statement that embodies the central trust of God’s plan and purpose for mankind.
- One primary and universal purpose of our existence is to serve as human being
- God is looking for kingdom possessed people not people possessed by the quest of things
- When you seek and gain the kingdom of God, you also gain access to riches and resources of God’s kingdom.

WHO ARE KIGDOM POSSESSED PEOPLE?
1. You and I
2. Kingdom possessed people don’t seek to please self and its achievement, they live for God and His kingdom.
3. Kingdom possessed people don’t serve for wages, pay cheque, personal recognition etc. they just work for the kingdom. (It must not be convenient.
4. Kingdom possessed people makes themselves available and allow services to interrupt their personal schedule.
5. Kingdom possessed people do not consider services as a burden but sees services as a privilege because there are many better people God could have used.
6. Kingdom possessed people make themselves a living sacrifice.“serving God will cost you self-centeredness”“Going to church is not service to God but worship”

LESSON 4. KINDS OF SERVICES
There are 3 kinds of services
Physical services
Spiritual services
Financial services

A. PHYSICAL SERVICES: Exodus 31:1 – 6, Revelation 4:11, 1Corinthians 10:31Physical services is serving God with your natural ability, talents you were born with or acquired in a service unit in the house of God.
- The physical service helps you to do what you are good at like; 1. Technical unit 2. Medical unit 3. Security unit 4. IT unit 5. Ushering unit 6. Beautifying unit 7. Sanctuary unit 8. Children unit.
- Physical services will definitely cost you time and energy because you will have to be present to do it.
- Services lifts a man to the level he never imagined.
- There is nothing shameful about what is gainful

B. SPIRITUAL SERVICES: 1Peter 2:5, 1Corinthians 12:7, Luke 2:37, Romans 12:4 – 8, 1Corinthians 7:7
- Spiritual services involves soul winning
- Prayer for the kingdom of God and been active on the agenda expansion of the kingdom of God.
- This is using your spiritual gift to serve God. As soon as you are born again, God gives you a gift for the advancement of the kingdom’
- As a service to God, you must play your part so if you cannot preach you can invite

SPIRITUAL SERVICES INVOLVES
- Prayer for the kingdom & the church
- Prayer for Gods servant and his family
- Prayer for those that are genuinely connected
- Pray for the expansion agenda of God Kingdom

C. FINANCIAL SERVICES: Exodus 35:4 – 29Financial services is using your God given wealth to promote his kingdom here on earth. Exodus 25:1 – 3, Exodus 3:21, Exodus 12:35 – 36, Luke 18- God gave you that money and expects you to serve him with your substance.
- Many Christians are ready to pray and fast, sing and weep but are not ready to part with their money on the demand of the kingdom.
- God want you to have money but not for money to have you.
- N:B When the money in your hand is not enough to meet your need, it is a seed.
- Financial services includes tithes, sacrifices, first fruits and vows
- You must never appear before God empty handed
- If you have any reason to miss services, your offering for the service should be packaged as a kingdom service. Deuteronomy 28:4 – 8, Philippians 2:14, 2Corinthians 9: 7 – 9.

LESSON 5. REWARD FOR SERVICE
Services and rewards are tied together. You enjoy blessing and spiritual deliverance, you are distinct wherever you are found, you enjoy honor and dignity. Luke 5:5 – 7, Ephesians 6:5 – 8, Colossians 3:23 – 24, Isaiah 58:14, Psalm 34:10, Hebrews 6:10.
Outside service, no reward. The meaning of reward can be understood only in services Luke 5:5 – 7.

REWARDS SERVICES BRINGS
1. Blessings. Proverbs 10:22
2. Divine health & healing. Exodus 23: 25 – 28, John 15:12, Isaiah 38: 1 - 6
3. Fruitfulness. Psalm 91: 13 – 16, Exodus 3:26, John 12:24
4. Greatness. Matthew 20: 20 -28, Mark 10:43 – 46
5. Prosperity. Psalm 35:27, 3John 1:2, Genesis 39:1 – 6, Job 36:11
6. Supernatural deliverance. Matthew 8:6 – 12
7. Distinct. Psalm 149:4
8. Preserves life. Exodus 23: 25 – 26
9. Builds a memorial. Mark 14:4 – 9, Nehemiah 13:4
10. Honor and dignity. John 12:26, Matthew 4:9, Esther 6:1 – 14, 1Samuel 2:30
11. God grants your desires. Psalm 37:4, Psalm 84:11, Isaiah 65:24

CONSEQUENCES OF NOT SERVING GOD
1. Toiling and frustration. Luke 5:5
2. Unfulfilled life. 1John 5:2
3. Vulnerable to attacks and sickness. Exodus 23:25
4. Risk to premature death. John 15:2
5. Leaving without pleasing God. Hebrews 1:6

REASONS WHY PEOPLE DON’T SERVE GOD
1. Excuses
2. Pride
3. Ignorance
4. Procrastination

CONLUSION
- When you are serving God, you don’t serve him absent minded, you engage your mind through prayer
- You serve him faithfully and not face fully

WHERE DO I SERVE GOD? – in a service group. Locate a service group in a church, attach yourself to serve in the any of the various units such as;
1. Children ministry
2. Crowd management unit
3. Decoration unit
4. Transportation unit
5. Medical unit
6. Peace keepers and safety units
7. Ushers
8. Sanitary keepers
9. IT unit
10. Technical unit
11. Alti-cultural unit
12. Language unit
13 .Soul establishment unit

- The key ingredient in every plan is your service to God.
- Knowledge without service ends in pride.
- Giving is an irrevocable quality is service.

THE MONTH OF NISAN

Introduction

The month of Nisan, according to EXODUS 12:1, is the first month of the Jewish or Hebrew Calendar. It is the month of beginnings and the gate into the rest of the Jewish year.

The first day of Nisan falls on April 2, 2022 on the Gregorian calendar.

Significant Facts About The Month Of Nisan_

1. The month of Nisan is the first month of the Jewish year. _It is the month of beginnings._

2. The month of Nisan is the month of Redemption. The blood of the lamb was _offered_ for the redemption of Israel. EXODUS 12:2-11; 21-27. The first borns’ of Israel were redeemed through the _sacrifice of the lamb_ and the visitation of God's judgments against the firstborns of Egypt. EXODUS 12:29-30 / EXODUS 13:1-2

3. It is the month of Renewal. It is the time for _consecration_ and call to _holiness._ EXODUS 12:14-20

4. It is the month of _Recompense._ It was in this season that God visited His judgments against the _oppressors_ and their _evil altars._ EXODUS 12:12-13

5. It is also the month of Release. The 430 years of bo***ge that Israel suffered under the hands of Pharaoh was brought to an end in the month of Nisan. EXODUS 12:31-34

6. It is the month of _Remuneration._ The Israelites received a _release of payment_ in the form of _gold, silver_ and _clothing_ for the 430 years of bo***ge in Egypt. EXODUS 12:35-36

7. It is the month of _Recovery._ The Israelites plundered their taskmasters and recovered all that they lost under their bo***ge. EXODUS 12:35-36

Biblical Events That Took Place In The Month Of Nisan

1. The Feast of Unleavened bread was instituted in the month of Nisan. EXODUS 12:29-30

2. The Feast of Passover was instituted to commemorate God's redemption in the month of Nisan. EXODUS 12:1-13 / LEVITICUS 23:4-8

3. The Israelites were delivered from the house of bo***ge in the month of Nisan. EXODUS 12:29-42

4. The Israelites crossed the River Jordan and brought down the walls of Jericho with a shout in the month of Nisan. JOSHUA 4:19-24 / JOSHUA 6:1-5

5. Haman plotted to annihilate the Jews in the month of Nisan but his plans were overthrown by the timely intercessions of Esther and the Jews. A demonic decree was passed on the 13th day of the month to exterminate the Jews but it was revoked by the end of that year. ESTHER 3-9

6. The rebuilding of the walls of Jerusalem after the 70 years of bo***ge in Babylon began in the month of Nisan. NEHEMIAH 2:1-20

Further Insights into the Month of Nisan

1. The _highest sacrifice of all time_ was to be offered in the month of Nisan. MATTHEW 26:1-2

2. Our Lord Jesus Christ instituted the holy communion prior to his death and resurrection in the month of Nisan. MATTHEW 26:17-30 / LUKE 22:7-20

3. The greatest altar on earth on which the greatest and perfect sacrifice was offered for the remission of sin was raised at Golgotha in the _month of Nisan._ MATTHEW 26:17-30 / LUKE 22:7-20

4. The kingdom of darkness received the greatest defeat of all time _after the supreme_ sacrifice of the _perfect lamb_ in the month of Nisan. MATTHEW 27:31-35 / MARK 15:21-26

5. The full price of our redemption (the blood of Jesus Christ and the thirty pieces of silver) was paid in the _month of Nisan._ MATTHEW 26:14-16 / HEBREWS 9:11-15

6. The resurrection of Jesus Christ which brought finality to the transaction of the greatest sacrifice on the greatest altar on earth took place in the month of Nisan. MATTHEW 28:1-8 / MARK 16:1-8 / LUKE 24:1-12 / JOHN 20:1-18

7. Jesus Christ became the first fruit offering for all of humanity in the month of Nisan. He became the firstborn among the living.

TOPIC: VICTORY IN THE VALLEY OF BERACHAH

MAIN BIBLE PASSAGE: 2CHRONICLES 20: 1-37

KEYNOTES:
- For some people, valley is a place of defeat
- Valley will be a place of victory for you
- When talking about victory in the valley, there are many factors that need to be in place
- When a man is in the valley, the natural response is to murmur, be angry or transfer aggression or complain etc.
- Valley represents so many factors for different people
- Some people are in the valley of depression, poverty, unfruitfulness, sickness etc.

THERE ARE FOUR KEYS/PROTOCOLS TO ACCESS VICTORY
1. PROPHECY
- It takes prophecy to win
- Every battle that was won in the valley of BERACHAH was won by prophecy. 2Chronicles 20:15
- It is the gift of prophecy that will give you the understanding that will make you win battles
- It is the gift of prophecy that will turn all your battles to your own favour.
- The highest form of prophecy is "the Lord is with you"

2. PRAISE
- In this context, they praised the Lord. Psalm 92: 1-2
- Praise is not only by singing, you can praise the Lord by boasting in the Lord, declaring His goodness boldly. Jeremiah 9:23
- The victory in the valley of BERACHAH was born out of praise
- Praise was a major key in the valley of BERACHAH

3. PRAYER
- When you are in a valley, you pray

4. PROVISION
- This is the combination of prophecy, praise and prayer. When they came out with victory, they carried all the provisions
- If God takes a man to a certain valley and he comes out victorious, the person can never remain the same. There must be provisions from God.
- As we read in the account of Abraham in Genesis 18: 1-8. Abraham carried the prophecy for the "father of all nations"
- Abraham gave 7 things from the quoted scripture
i. Water
ii. Bread
iii. Cake
iv. Calf
v. Butter
vi. Milk
vii. Gave himself as a service

Isaiah 8:10 - The counsel of the enemy over your life shall not stand in Jesus name.
In this season God will give you the provisions that you cannot carry alone in Jesus name

- God is so dramatic, and He acts very well.
- God gave instructions to the children of Israel in

*That they may serve me
* That they may sacrifice to me
* That they feast
* That they may build me a sanctuary/tabernacle.

- Favour is coming to Zion and it is coming to the people of God
- However, you must not be lazy or idle, you must work so you can plug yourself into the favor of God.

GOD GAVE THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL FAVOUR TO PLUNDER THE EGYPTIANS

- Exodus 32: 1 - 5
- Exodus 25: 1 - 5
- Exodus 35: 1 - 14

- In everything God is doing, He has a purpose:
His blessings upon you are for His use.
- Always be attentive to the proceedings of the word of God
- Understanding the ways of God will also help you. It is the interpretation of God that will help you go far this season
- God wants to hand over wealth to His people, and His primary purpose is for us to :
-Serve Him
-Sacrifice unto Him
-Build Him a Sanctuary and also have more than enough to Feast.

- The essence of Tithes and Offerings is to ensure we have conquered greed.

- The reason for God's wealth is for God's sanctuary to be built, and that there should be a left-over.
- One of the reasons for the lack of blessing is the seed of golden calf in our heart, so we should ensure we don't have an idol in our hearts.

Oh, Lord! Help us to hear you, and follow your exact instructions.

I pray for you that the favor of God in His sanctuary will see you through in Jesus' name, Amen.
