STAGES THROUGH WHICH MARITAL PROEBLEMS ARE SOLVED IN ISLAM.
Yesterday, I wrote a message here advising young Muslim couples to desist from seeking marital counseling from some of the online marriage counseling people, who have no Islamic knowledge in marital affairs. I said that, because I have realized, many of them don't have strong Islamic knowledge. And since marriage is a religious obligations, they are therefore not qualified to give marriage counseling to anyone.
Now, back to the main topic as stated above. How do we solve marital problems in Islam?
Islam as its, is a religion of references. You cannot do as you wish in whatever you want to do, as a Muslim unless you follow what Islam says. Marriage in Islam is sacred matter. We used the words of ALLAH swt to allow man and woman to enjoy each other sexually, with the aim of living together forver. But problems do arises afterwards.
Mainly, marital problems occur between the two couples (husband and wife), though there are outside factors too. But I will limit myself to the ones usually generated by either the husband or the wife.
Most marital problems that are caused by the husband may fall in one of the following:
1. He begins to dislike the wife.
2. He cheats the wife by not giving her what is due, financially.
3. He cheats the wife by denying her, rights on bed.
4. Or sometimes, he wants to divorce the wife for a good reason or no reason at all.
And most marital problems that are from the wife may fall in one of the following:
1. She begins to dislike her husband.
2. She feels he sees other women outside.
3. She is no more interested in the marriage for some reasons or no reason at all. (She just don't like the man again)
4. In a polygamous marriage, the wife may be jealous because of some happenings in the house.
This and some other factors may bring problems between the two couples. In Islam, there are stages we follow to resolve all issues between a man and his wife. Though the burdens laid mo
