Go to the Place of Blessing
Text: “Depart from here and turn eastward and hide yourself by the brook Cherith, which is east of the Jordan.” (1 Kings 17:3, ESV)
In the scripture, the prophet Elijah was living in a certain city.
God said to him, “Leave this place and go down to the brook Cherith for I have commanded the ravens to feed you there.” When he got to the brook, every morning just like clockwork, the ravens brought him food.
Locational Blessing as result of obedience
He had his provision; a prepared blessing. Here’s the key. Elijah didn’t have to try to find the ravens.
1. He just had to get to where God wanted him to be and the ravens found him. In the same way, for you today,
1. There is a place where God has commanded you to be blessed.
2. The ravens are already there — your provision, favor, abundance.
The real question today is will you do what’s required to get to your place of blessing? Elijah could have said, “God, I don’t want to leave. I’m comfortable. I like it here. My friends are here.” But if he had stayed, he would have missed where he was commanded to be blessed.
Are you willing to do what God is asking you to do today?
Listen to the prompting of the Holy Spirit inside, follow His leading, and enter into the place of blessing!
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
1. Father, thank You for leading me to a place of blessing.
2. Thank You for sustaining me and empowering me to fulfill Your call on my life.
3. I choose to follow Your leading so that I can be in the place You’ve called me to in Jesus’ name. Amen

Worship Ministry Overview

So much can be written about worship. This training section will not, however, cover it all. This teaching on worship will not provide a list of how-to's. Rather, it will look at biblical aspects of worship and then address some of the implications for worship leaders and also the individual worshiper.

The application of these principles and implications can be as un...ique as the church itself.
Even God changed the ways and styles of worship throughout Scripture:
Old Testament, Israel

BEFORE CHRIST
New Testament, Christian Church

AFTER CHRIST

Worship centered around God's presence and glory in the temple with other specific locations prior to the building of the temple. (Jn. 4:21)

Worship involved scheduled and regulated feasts and literal sacrifices. (Lev.)

Great importance was put on place and method.

Yet, there was room for individual, spontaneous, and varied means of expression.
Worship centers around the God's presence that cannot be contained in a building or place and is to be done in spirit and in truth. (Jn. 4:21-24)

Worship involves the whole of life and spiritual sacrifices. (Rom. 12:1)

Great importance is put on the heart.

Yet, there is room for meeting in a place and planning for a specific or designated means of expression.

The difference is that in O.T. times, before Christ, the law guided the worshiper. After Christ, the Holy Spirit came to dwell within the heart of the believer, and He is to guide the worship. (See Philippians 3:3.)

To be sure, God has always been concerned about the heart of the worshiper. Jesus quoted from an Old Testament passage when He said, "I desire mercy, not sacrifice" (Matt. 9:13; 12:7; Mic. 6:6-8; Hos. 6:6).

Pulling from both Old and New Testament precepts, principles and precedence, this training section on worship will examine the following aspects of worship and their implications for a worship ministry. Click on a topic below to take you to that aspect of worshiping God.
Worth-giving because of who He is
Offering to Him what we have to give
Responding to what God has done
Singling out God as the only true God
Humbling ourselves before God
Identifying with God and His ways
Presenting ourselves to God

God wants to do new and incredible things in your life! He has a new season of goodness in store for you today. The power to see His plan come to pass in your life is found in the power of your words. When you get in agreement with God, whe...n you say what He says, that’s when things will change in your life.
Life and death are in the power of the tongue. No one else chooses your words but you! You can speak forth seeds of life or seeds of death. What you have in your life today is a direct result of your words in the past, and what you will see in the future is a direct result of what you are speaking today.
Why don’t you choose to bless your future? Why don’t you choose to declare that it’s a new season? Why don’t you choose to speak what God speaks and believe that He has a new season of goodness in store for you today?!

WORD4TODAY-power of worship.

don't let anything take praise from your lips!

The doctor's diagnosis may not have been pleasant but don't loose your praise, there is still wonder in your worship and praise!

You may be staring at results that are contrary to your expectations, still bow and worship!

You may have slipped into sin and you feel so unholy and dirty, just get back to the place of worship!

Your business may be crumbling, still worship!

AGAINST ALL ODDS,STILL WORSHIP!
there came a L***r and worshiped him..."(Matthew 8 vs 2)

A l***r came to Jesus and the first thing he did was to worship.

Worship preceded the request.

Worship led the way.
Worship was the first thing on the mind of the l***r.
He worshiped despite his pains.
He worshiped, though life may have been unkind to him.

The L***r worshiped in the midst of the stigma that was associated with his condition.
He may have been limping but his worship was still intact.
He may have lost his fingers, hair and skin coloration but he still worshiped.

Nothing around him or from where he was coming from suggested there was a reason to worship, but he still worshiped!

But in V3 his request received attention.

Pray, Lord, nothing will ever take away praise and worship from my heart and lips. As long as I have breath in me, I will always praise and worship through it all. Let my request today receive attention in Jesus name.
