MAY 23

*FAITH FOR BREAKTHROUGH*

Micah 2:13

*The breaker is come up before them: they have broken up, and have passed through the gate, and are gone out by it: and their king shall pass before them, and the Lord on the head of them*

Breakthrough faith is the confidence that God can remove barriers, open impossible doors, and make a way where none seems to exist. In Micah 2:13, God reveals Himself as “The Breaker” — the One who goes ahead of His people to destroy obstacles and lead them into victory.

Life often presents walls that seem immovable: financial hardship, delayed promises, family struggles, health battles, closed opportunities, or spiritual stagnation. Human strength may fail against these challenges, but faith connects us to the power of God who specializes in breakthroughs.

The encouraging truth is that God does not merely stand behind us cheering us on; He goes before us. He breaks chains, opens gates, and clears pathways we could never create on our own. Sometimes the greatest obstacle is fear, doubt, or discouragement. But when faith rises, limitations begin to crumble.

Faith for breakthrough does not mean we will never face resistance. It means we refuse to surrender because we trust the God who can overturn impossible situations. The breakthrough may not come instantly, but persistent faith keeps moving forward until the gate opens.

Many believers have experienced seasons where nothing seemed to work despite prayer and effort. Yet suddenly, God intervened: a long-awaited job appeared, healing manifested, relationships were restored, debts were settled, ministries expanded, and closed doors opened unexpectedly. This is the work of “The Breaker.”

As you trust God in 2026, remember that no obstacle is greater than His power. The same God who parted the Red Sea, brought down Jericho’s walls, and opened prison doors for Paul and Silas is still working today. Your breakthrough may already be in motion even when you cannot yet see it.

Reflection on Real-Life Situations:

There are times when people feel trapped in cycles of disappointment. A graduate searches for employment for years without success. A business owner faces repeated losses. A family prays for a child without seeing results. A believer battles spiritual dryness and unanswered questions.

In such moments, discouragement whispers that nothing will ever change. But breakthrough faith chooses to believe God beyond visible circumstances. It keeps praying, obeying, serving, and trusting even when results seem delayed.

Sometimes breakthrough comes through divine opportunities. Other times it comes through wisdom, endurance, relationships, or unexpected favor. God may not always work the way we expect, but He always knows how to lead His people through the gate.

Your responsibility is to remain in faith and obedience while God performs what only He can do.

Supporting Scriptures:

Isaiah 45:2 — “I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight…”

Jeremiah 32:27 — “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?”

Mark 9:23 — “If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.”

2 Corinthians 10:4 — “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds.”

Psalm 24:7 — “Lift up your heads, O ye gates… and the King of glory shall come in.”

Prayer Points:

Lord, increase my faith to trust You for every breakthrough I need in my life.

Father, go before me as The Breaker and destroy every obstacle standing in my path.

Every gate of delay, limitation, and stagnation, be opened in Jesus’ name.

Lord, give me strength to keep believing even when answers seem delayed.

Father, let divine favor, opportunities, and open doors locate me this year.

Lord, break every chain of fear, doubt, and discouragement in my life.

Father, lead me into the breakthroughs You have prepared for me and let my testimony bring glory to Your name.

Prophetic Declaration:

In 2026, you will not remain trapped behind closed doors. The Lord who goes before you shall break barriers, remove limitations, and lead you into new seasons of victory, favor, and divine advancement. Every obstacle resisting your progress shall bow before the power of God, and your testimony of breakthrough shall be evident for all to see, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

MAY 21

*FAITH FOR HEALING*

Isaiah 53:5

*But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed*

Healing is one of the redemptive blessings made available through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Isaiah saw prophetically the suffering of Christ long before the cross, and he declared that healing would flow from His wounds. This healing is not only physical but also emotional, spiritual, and mental. Many people carry hidden pains—sicknesses in the body, wounds from betrayal, anxiety, fear, disappointment, or grief. God’s desire is to bring restoration to every broken area of life.

Faith for healing begins with believing God’s Word above symptoms, fear, or negative reports. Healing faith does not deny the reality of pain, but it chooses to trust the power of God above present conditions. Sometimes healing comes instantly; other times it comes progressively as we continue standing on God’s promises. The believer must remain steadfast, refusing to allow doubt or discouragement to overcome faith.

In real life, there are moments when medical reports seem discouraging, when treatment appears slow, or when financial limitations make healthcare difficult. During such seasons, faith becomes an anchor. A mother praying for her sick child, a man trusting God during surgery, or someone battling emotional trauma can all find strength in Christ’s finished work on the cross. God still heals today, and He often works through prayer, His Word, medical wisdom, and the support of caring believers.

Faith for healing also requires patience and spiritual perseverance. Sometimes God heals the body immediately; at other times He strengthens the believer through the process while accomplishing a deeper spiritual work. Regardless of the timing, believers can rest in the assurance that God is compassionate, faithful, and attentive to their cries.

Jesus demonstrated throughout His earthly ministry that healing was part of God’s kingdom. He touched lepers, restored blind eyes, healed the paralyzed, and raised the dead. His power has not changed. The same Savior who healed in the Scriptures is still able to restore today.

Supporting Scriptures:

Jeremiah 17:14 — “Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.”

Matthew 8:16–17 — Jesus healed the sick, fulfilling Isaiah’s prophecy.

Mark 11:24 — “What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”

James 5:14–15 — The prayer of faith shall save the sick.

3 John 1:2 — God desires that we prosper and be in health.

Psalm 103:2–3 — God forgives sins and heals diseases.

Life Application:

When sickness, weakness, or emotional pain arises, do not surrender to hopelessness. Continue declaring God’s promises over your life. Pray with faith, seek godly counsel, and make wise decisions concerning your health. Surround yourself with people who strengthen your faith rather than increase your fear.

If you are praying for someone else’s healing, remain compassionate and persistent in prayer. Sometimes people battling illness also struggle with loneliness and discouragement. Your encouragement, presence, and prayers can become instruments of God’s healing grace.

Even while waiting for healing, maintain an attitude of worship and thanksgiving. Faith grows stronger when we focus on God’s faithfulness instead of magnifying the problem.

Prayer:

*Heavenly Father, thank You for the sacrifice of Jesus Christ through which healing and restoration have been made available. I place my trust in Your Word and Your power. Touch every area of my life that needs healing—body, soul, mind, and spirit. Strengthen my faith to stand firm even when circumstances seem difficult. Remove fear, anxiety, and discouragement from my heart. Let Your peace and healing power flow through me. Help me to encourage others who are hurting and to remain steadfast in prayer. I declare that You are my healer, my refuge, and my hope. In Jesus’ name, Amen*

MAY 20

*PERSISTENT FAITH*

Luke 11:8 (KJV)

*I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth*

Persistent faith is the kind of faith that refuses to quit even when answers seem delayed. In this passage, Jesus told the story of a man who went to his friend at midnight asking for bread. Though the friend was unwilling at first, he eventually responded because of the man's persistence. Jesus was teaching His disciples that faith is not always a one-time request; sometimes it is demonstrated through steadfastness in prayer and trust.

In life, many believers start with enthusiasm but lose heart when answers do not come quickly. A person may pray for a job, healing, marital restoration, business breakthrough, or the salvation of loved ones, and after weeks or months of waiting, discouragement can creep in. But persistent faith says, “Even if I have not seen the answer yet, I will continue to trust God.”

Faith is tested in the waiting season. Anyone can believe when answers come immediately, but mature faith continues knocking, seeking, and asking even when heaven seems silent. God is not ignoring His children; often, He is building endurance, dependence, and spiritual maturity through the process.

A woman may keep praying for her wayward child year after year. A businessman may continue standing on God's promises despite repeated setbacks. A family trusting God for provision may choose gratitude over anxiety. Persistent faith is not stubbornness rooted in self-will; it is confidence rooted in God’s character.

Delay is not denial. God's timing is often different from ours, but His answers are always purposeful. When you persist in faith, your heart is aligned with His will, and your dependence on Him deepens.

Supporting Scriptures:

Luke 18:1 – “Men ought always to pray, and not to faint.”

Bible Hebrews 10:36 – “For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.”

Bible Galatians 6:9 – “Let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

Bible James 1:3–4 – “The trying of your faith worketh patience.”

Bible Romans 12:12 – “Continuing instant in prayer.”

Prayer Points:

Lord, strengthen my heart to remain steadfast while waiting for Your promises to be fulfilled.

Father, help me not to give up in prayer because of delays or disappointments.

Lord, increase my faith to trust Your timing and Your wisdom.

Father, teach me endurance so I can stand firm through every test of faith.

Lord, let my persistent prayers produce testimonies in every area of my life.

Confession:

I will not give up on God’s promises. My faith remains alive, active, and steadfast. Though answers may tarry, I trust God completely. I will keep praying, believing, and expecting, for in due season I shall receive my testimony in Jesus’ name. Amen.

THOGGNATION by Babatunde O. Fafunwa*

MAY 19

*UNWAVERING FAITH*

James 1:6 (KJV)

*But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed*

Unwavering faith is the kind of trust in God that remains steady regardless of changing circumstances. James teaches that when we approach God—especially in prayer—we must do so with confidence in His character, wisdom, and ability to answer according to His will. Doubt here is not the occasional human struggle with questions, but a divided heart that shifts between trusting God and trusting fear, logic alone, or human solutions.

Faith that wavers is unstable because it is controlled by external conditions. One day, when things seem favorable, confidence is high; the next day, when challenges arise, fear takes over. But unwavering faith is anchored in who God is, not in what is happening around us. It says, “Even if I do not yet see the answer, I trust the One who holds the answer.”

There are seasons in life when unwavering faith is tested deeply. A business owner may have prayed and trusted God for growth, but after repeated losses, the temptation is to abandon faith and resort to unethical shortcuts. A married couple may be trusting God for restoration in their home, but constant misunderstandings can make them wonder if prayer is even working. A graduate may keep applying for jobs while rejection letters pile up, making doubt whisper, “Has God forgotten me?”

In such moments, wavering often begins in the mind before it appears in actions. You may still pray, but internally you have already prepared for disappointment. James reminds believers not to approach God with this instability. God is not moved by panic; He responds to faith rooted in His promises.

Unwavering faith does not deny reality. It acknowledges challenges but refuses to let challenges have the final word. Like Peter walking on water, as long as his eyes were on Jesus, he stood above the storm; when he focused on the wind, he began to sink (Matthew 14:29–31).
Ask yourself: Is my faith based on God’s faithfulness, or on how quickly I see results? True faith remains constant because God remains constant.

Supporting Scriptures:

Hebrews 11:1 – “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

Mark 11:24 – “What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”

Isaiah 26:3 – “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”

Romans 4:20–21 – “He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith…”

Psalm 62:5–6 – “My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.”

Prayer Points:

Lord, strengthen my heart to trust You completely even when I do not understand my present situation.

Father, remove every seed of doubt, fear, and double-mindedness from my life in Jesus’ name.

Help me to remain steadfast in prayer and confident in Your promises.

Lord, let my faith not be controlled by visible circumstances but by Your unchanging Word.

I receive grace to stand firm in every storm until Your promises are fulfilled in my life.

Daily Confession:

I choose to trust God fully. My faith is rooted in His Word and not in circumstances. I will not be tossed about by fear, doubt, or delay. My heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord, and I shall see His goodness manifested in my life. Amen.

*THOGG – DAILY DOSE DEVOTIONAL
THOGGNATION by Babatunde O. Fafunwa*

MAY 18

*LITTLE FAITH*

Matthew 6:30 (KJV)

*Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall He not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?*

In this passage, Jesus addresses one of humanity’s most common struggles—worry. He points to the grass of the field, simple and temporary, yet beautifully clothed by God. If God gives such attention to something so fleeting, how much more does He care for His children?

Little faith is often revealed not by what we say, but by how much anxiety controls our thoughts and decisions. We may declare trust in God, yet spend sleepless nights worrying about bills, children, health, ministry, business, or the future. Jesus is not condemning us harshly here; rather, He is lovingly exposing the inconsistency between God’s proven faithfulness and our recurring doubts.

Many believers trust God for eternal salvation but struggle to trust Him for daily provision. We believe He can open heaven, yet wonder if He can pay school fees, provide rent, heal sickness, or settle family matters. This is the tension Jesus addresses: if God handles the “small things” in creation with excellence, why doubt His care over your life, which is infinitely more valuable to Him?

Little faith focuses on visible limitations. Great faith focuses on the invisible faithfulness of God.

Faith grows when we deliberately remember God’s past provisions. Every testimony is evidence that God has not abandoned you. The God who kept you yesterday has not resigned from being your Provider today.

A business owner experiences a downturn in sales and begins panicking, imagining financial collapse. Instead of praying and seeking wisdom, anxiety takes over, leading to poor decisions and fear-driven conversations. But when he remembers previous seasons where God made a way unexpectedly, his heart shifts from panic to trust.

A mother worries constantly about her children’s future—school, safety, marriage, and career. Though these concerns are real, excessive worry begins to rob her of peace. She learns to replace anxiety with daily prayers and scriptural declarations, trusting that the God who gave her those children is able to preserve and guide them.

Little faith magnifies the problem; growing faith magnifies God.

Supporting Scriptures:

Philippians 4:6–7 – “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”

1 Peter 5:7 – “Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you.”

Psalm 37:25 – “I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.”

Luke 12:24 – “Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap… and God feedeth them.”

Hebrews 13:5 – “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”

Prayer Points:

Father, forgive me for every area where worry has replaced trust in my heart.

Lord, strengthen my faith to trust You completely for my daily needs and future.

I cast every burden, anxiety, and fear upon You today, in Jesus’ name.

Father, let the evidence of Your provision be visible in my life, family, business, and ministry.

Lord, teach me to remember Your past faithfulness whenever fear tries to arise.

I declare that I will not be ruled by anxiety, but by faith in God’s promises.

Father, increase my confidence in Your unfailing love and care for me.

Confession:

I refuse to live in worry and anxiety. My Father knows what I need before I ask. The God who clothes the grass and feeds the birds is mindful of me. I trust His provision, timing, and faithfulness. My faith is growing stronger daily, and I walk in peace and confidence in Christ.

Prophetic Declaration:

I declare over your life: every fear concerning your future is silenced in Jesus’ name. Where anxiety has weakened your confidence in God, fresh faith arises now. You will see undeniable evidence of God’s provision, care, and intervention. You shall not be abandoned, and your needs shall be supplied according to His riches in glory. Amen.

*THOGG – DAILY DOSE DEVOTIONAL
THOGGNATION by Babatunde O. Fafunwa*

MAY 17

*GREAT FAITH*

Matthew 15:28 (KJV)

*Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour*

Great faith is not merely believing when circumstances are favorable; it is holding on to God even when answers seem delayed, doors appear shut, and the situation looks impossible. In Matthew 15, the Canaanite woman came to Jesus pleading for her demon-oppressed daughter. At first, Jesus did not respond to her. Then His disciples wanted her sent away. Even when His words seemed discouraging, she refused to be offended or give up. Instead, she persisted with humility, determination, and unwavering confidence in Christ’s mercy.

Her story teaches that great faith is often revealed under pressure. Small faith may believe only when things happen quickly, but great faith remains steadfast through silence, delay, and testing. This woman did not allow rejection, cultural barriers, or disappointment to weaken her pursuit of God. She knew that one word from Jesus could change her daughter’s condition.

Many believers today face seasons where prayers seem unanswered—financial needs remain unmet, health conditions linger, family members stay resistant to change, or long-awaited opportunities seem delayed. In such moments, the temptation is to conclude that God is absent or uninterested. But great faith says, “Even if I do not yet see the answer, I know God is able, willing, and faithful.”

Faith matures when it is tested. God sometimes allows delays not to deny us, but to deepen our trust, refine our motives, and strengthen our dependence on Him. What distinguished this woman was not merely her request, but her refusal to walk away without receiving from God.

Great faith also carries humility. She did not demand blessings as a right; she approached Jesus recognizing His authority and mercy. True faith is bold, yet submitted. It is confident, yet humble.

If you are in a difficult season, do not let delay become discouragement. Heaven may seem silent, but silence is not absence. Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep standing on God’s promises. The same Jesus who commended great faith still honors faith-filled persistence today.

Reflection Questions:

1. How do you usually respond when your prayers are delayed or seemingly unanswered?

2. Are there areas in your life where God is stretching your faith beyond comfort?

3. Have disappointment or discouragement weakened your confidence in God’s promises?

4. What practical steps can you take to remain persistent in prayer and faith?

A business owner has invested time, resources, and prayer into a venture, yet progress seems slow and opportunities keep falling through. Discouragement whispers that the effort is wasted. But instead of quitting, the believer continues seeking God for wisdom, adjusting strategy, and trusting divine timing. Months later, the breakthrough comes through an unexpected partnership that far exceeds earlier expectations. Great faith often perseveres longer than convenience would allow.

Likewise, a parent praying for a child’s transformation may not see immediate change. Yet through persistent prayer, wise counsel, and unwavering hope, God can work over time in ways unseen.

Supporting Scriptures:

Hebrews 11:1 – “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

James 1:3 – “Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.”

Mark 11:24 – “What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”

Luke 18:1 – “Men ought always to pray, and not to faint.”

Romans 4:20–21 – Abraham staggered not at God’s promise through unbelief.

Prayer Points:

Father, strengthen my faith to trust You even when answers seem delayed.

Lord, help me not to be discouraged by temporary silence or setbacks.

I receive grace to persevere in prayer until my breakthrough manifests.

Father, remove every seed of doubt, fear, and unbelief from my heart.

Lord Jesus, let my faith produce testimonies that glorify Your name.

Father, teach me humility and persistence as I wait on Your promises.

I declare that no delay will become denial in my life, in Jesus’ name.

Daily Confession:

My faith is anchored in God’s unchanging character. I will not be moved by delays, opposition, or unanswered questions. I trust God’s timing, power, and goodness. My persistence in faith will produce visible testimonies, and I shall see the fulfillment of God’s promises in my life, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

*THOGG – DAILY DOSE DEVOTIONAL
THOGGNATION by Babatunde O. Fafunwa*

MAY 16

*FAITH THAT OVERCOMES THE WORLD*

1 John 5:4 (KJV)

*For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith*

The world constantly presents pressures, temptations, fears, disappointments, and systems that often oppose God’s standards. To “overcome the world” does not mean escaping earthly challenges or pretending difficulties do not exist. It means living above the controlling influence of worldly values through faith in Christ.

The Apostle John reminds believers that victory is not achieved by human strength, intelligence, connections, or wealth, but by faith. Faith is the spiritual force that anchors a believer in God’s promises even when circumstances suggest defeat.

Faith overcomes the world by helping us trust God above visible realities. When the economy is unstable, faith says, “God is my provider.” When sickness attacks, faith declares, “God is my healer.” When temptation arises, faith empowers obedience by fixing the heart on eternal rewards rather than temporary pleasures.

Being born of God gives us a new nature. A fish can survive in water because that is its natural environment. In the same way, the believer has divine capacity to overcome worldly corruption because God’s nature is at work within them.

Victory over the world begins internally before it manifests externally. Before David defeated Goliath publicly, he had already conquered fear privately through confidence in God. External victories are often the fruit of internal faith.

A Christian businessman may be pressured to compromise integrity in order to secure a contract. The world says, “Everybody does it.” Faith says, “My promotion comes from God, not corruption.”

A young believer in school may be mocked for choosing purity, discipline, and godliness. The world celebrates compromise, but faith sees beyond present ridicule to lasting reward.

A family facing financial hardship may be tempted to panic or resort to dishonest means. Faith chooses prayer, diligence, wise action, and trust in God’s provision.

A believer waiting for healing, marriage, children, or career breakthrough may feel overwhelmed by delay. Faith overcomes discouragement by holding firmly to God’s timing and goodness.

Overcoming the world is often quiet and daily: saying no to sin, refusing bitterness, rejecting fear, maintaining hope, and remaining faithful to God in ordinary moments.

Supporting Scriptures:

John 16:33 – “In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

Romans 12:2 – “Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind...”

Hebrews 11:1 – “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

2 Corinthians 5:7 – “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”

Romans 8:37 – “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.”

Key Lessons:

Victory over the world comes through faith, not human effort alone.

Being born of God gives believers spiritual capacity to overcome worldly systems.

Faith focuses on God’s promises above temporary circumstances.

Overcoming is a daily lifestyle of obedience, trust, and spiritual discipline.

Christ has already secured ultimate victory for believers.

Prayer Points:

Lord, strengthen my faith to stand firm against every pressure from the world.

Father, help me to trust Your promises above what I see around me.

I receive grace to overcome temptation, fear, compromise, and discouragement.

Lord, let my life reflect victory through Christ in every area.

Father, renew my mind daily so I will not conform to worldly patterns.

By faith, I declare victory over every challenge confronting my family, health, finances, and destiny in Jesus' mighty name, Amen*

Declaration:

I am born of God; therefore, I overcome the world. My faith is alive and active. I walk in victory over fear, sin, compromise, and every opposition. Through Christ, I am more than a conqueror. Amen.
