Topic: Seeking God First Through Prayer

Texts: Jeremiah 33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

Mark 1:35 And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.

Prayer is the first expression of seeking God. Jesus woke up early to pray, showing prayer must be a priority, not an emergency response.
Establish daily prayer rhythm (morning 6am, 9am, Noon 12pm, 3pm, and Night 6pm and 9pm).
Pray before decisions, not after trouble starts.
Pray in the Spirit to build intimacy, this is very important according to 1 Corinthians 14:2

Daniel (Daniel 6:10),
Though threatened, yet he prayed three times daily, and God honored him in the presence of his enemies, in a foreign land. We serve the same God today (Hebrews 13:8), He will do much more for you when you make prayer a daily priority.

True-Life experience:
A woman who prayed consistently for Godโ€™s direction avoided a business fraud that would have destroyed her finances. Receive grace to seek God through prayer.

Declaration:
My prayer life is alive; I seek God early and continually.

Topic: Seeking God in Difficult Times

Text: 2 Chronicles 20:3-4 And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the LORD, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah. 4. And Judah gathered themselves together, to ask help of the LORD: even out of all the cities of Judah they came to seek the LORD.

Psalm 46:1
God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.

Jehoshaphat faced battle but sought God first, and victory came through praise. In crisis, what you seek determines your outcome. Seek God before you seek men or solutions.

When a ship faces a storm, the captain doesnโ€™t panic, he checks the compass to find direction. God is your compass in every storm. He will direct you aright. Amen

Declaration:
โ€œIn every storm, I look to God first. He is my help, my refuge, and my deliverer!โ€

Prayer:
Lord, teach me to seek You even in crisis. Let my faith rise above fear, and turn my battles into testimonies, in Jesusโ€™ name. Amen!
