Breaking News
A significant milestone was achieved as Lagos City Division successfully hosted its first-ever Back to Bethel program at the Back to Bethel Camp Ground, Kara Kekere, Mowe, Ogun State.

The atmosphere was filled with joy and deep reflection on God’s faithfulness in bringing this historic event to life under the leadership of Majors John Okpalaihedi and Veronica Okpalaihedi.
The program commenced on Friday, April 24th, and concluded on Sunday, April 26th, 2026, with the inspiring theme: Empowered for Greater Impact.

In attendance were officers of Lagos City Division, THQ officers, OTC staff, cadets from both sessions, members of the Pastoral Council, and Territorial Leaders, Commissioners Friday Ayanam and Ayanam Glory, who delivered the closing charge titled Grace to Sustain the Empowerment.

In his remarks, he emphasized that the facility is not just a Lagos City Divisional Camp Ground, but an International Salvation Army Camp Ground. He also encouraged greater partnership and investment in God’s Kingdom, assuring that such commitments never go unrewarded.

As a maiden event at the camp ground, over 550 campers were present on Friday and Saturday, while more than 750 comrades attended on Sunday.
Notably, the newly established outpost at the camp site, which recorded about 9 converts in October last year, has grown to over 30 converts this year—both children and adults. Many of them are expected to be enrolled during this year’s Founders Day at Ejigbo Corps.

We give all glory to God for the success of this inaugural Back to Bethel program and extend heartfelt appreciation to all kingdom partners, the Back to Bethel committee, and the comrades of Lagos City Division for their unwavering support in making this vision a reality.

Remember: BUILDING CAPACITY FOR GREATER IMPACT is our watch Word for 2026.

Territorial Commander's Easter Message

IMPACT ‘Unveiling the Transforming Truth of the Resurrection’

Easter is more than a date on the Christian calendar—it is the defining moment of human history. The Resurrection of Jesus Christ is the greatest impact event the world has ever witnessed. It changed despair into hope, death into life, and ordinary believers into world changers.

1. The Resurrection: God’s Ultimate Statement

When Jesus rose from the dead, God issued a final and irreversible declaration:
Life triumphs over death. Light conquers darkness. Grace outshines sin.

The angel’s announcement still echoes with power through the ages:

“He is not here; for He is risen, as He said.” — Matthew 28:6

The empty tomb stands as a bold testimony that Christ’s word is trustworthy. His resurrection validates His identity as the Son of God (Romans 1:4) and confirms that His sacrifice was fully accepted on our behalf (Romans 4:25).

2. The Impact on Humanity: Hope Restored

Before the Resurrection, humanity stood powerless before the grave. But Christ’s victory rewrote our destiny: “Because I live, you also will live.” — John 14:19

This is the heartbeat of Christian hope. Easter reminds us that no situation is too dead for God to revive, no darkness too deep for His light, no sin too great for His grace. Our daily challenges as a nation, is not a death sentence.

The Resurrection assures believers of:

A living hope – 1 Peter 1:3

A future inheritance – 1 Corinthians 15:52–57

A new identity in Christ – 2 Corinthians 5:17

Hope is no longer fragile—it is anchored in the unshakable reality of a risen Savior.

3. The Impact on the Early Church: Courage Released

The disciples who once hid in fear were transformed into courageous witnesses. What changed them? Not merely teachings—but an encounter with the Risen Christ.

“We cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.” — Acts 4:20

The Resurrection ignited a movement that swept across nations and generations. Their ministry was marked not by human strength, but by Resurrection power (Acts 1:8).

This same power is at work in us today (Ephesians 1:19–20).

4. The Impact on Today’s Believer: Purpose Renewed

Easter calls us to live not as victims of circumstances, but as victors through Christ (Romans 8:37). Christians must stands strong amidst life’s deepest gloom of hatred and murder.
It compels us to shine His light in a world longing for hope, healing, and truth.

The Resurrection empowers us to:

Love boldly in a divided world

Serve faithfully in a distracted age

Witness courageously in a season of uncertainty

Christ’s victory becomes our mission. His empty tomb is our reason to rise each day with purpose.

5. The Impact on Eternity: Life Guaranteed

Easter assures us that death is not the end.
Because Christ rose, those who believe in Him will also rise (1 Thessalonians 4:14).

“I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in Me will live, even though they die.” — John 11:25

This promise reframes our journey and refocuses our priorities. We are pilgrims of eternity, living with divine assurance and everlasting expectation.

Conclusion: Living the Easter Impact

The message of Easter is not simply that Christ rose, but that His rising has given rise to something new in us. May the rising turbulence in our world today, be calmed by the hope of the Resurrection Christ. The Resurrection invites us to live with courage, compassion, and conviction.

May this Easter renew our faith, reignite our mission, and reaffirm our hope.
Christ is risen—and because of that, everything has changed.

Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! Hallelujah!
