SUNDAY SERVICE
THEME FOR THE MONTH OF OCTOBER: WALKING IN DOMINION
MINISTERING: REVEREND DAVID OYEDIRAN
⸻
OPENING STATEMENT
If it is not possible to walk in dominion, God would never have told us to walk in dominion.
From the beginning, God’s plan for mankind has been to exercise dominion.
“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion…” — Genesis 1:26
As far as God is concerned, we are to have dominion.
Everyone who has given their life to Christ has been registered in heaven to walk in dominion.
You must know who you are!
If you do not know who you are, it will be difficult to walk in dominion.
I know who I am. You must know who you are.
“Behold, I and the children which the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders…” — Isaiah 8:18

FULL MESSAGE / TEACHING
TO WALK IN DOMINION, YOU MUST KNOW WHO YOU ARE
To have dominion is to be in charge.
God wants you to have dominion, and to have dominion is to be in charge.
Therefore, you must not be ignorant.
When you make a declaration, there are two things you must understand:
You must understand what God is trying to tell you, and you must know who you are in Him.
There are three things you must do to have dominion:
1. You must understand who you are.
2. Now that you are born again, what do you have?
3. Now that you are born again, what can you do with what you have?
⸻
POINT 1: YOU MUST UNDERSTAND WHO YOU ARE
Things That Give Us Dominion
I. YOU MUST UNDERSTAND THAT YOU ARE BORN AGAIN
Your new birth is the beginning of your new identity in Christ.
You are no longer who you used to be.
⸻
II. NEVER BE A SECRET CHRISTIAN
You must be bold about your faith.
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” — Romans 10:9
Do not hide your identity in Christ.
⸻
III. YOU ARE A NEW CREATURE AND A COMPLETE PERSONALITY
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17
You are a personality that gives God excitement.
You must understand who you are and what God has made you to become.
⸻
IV. I AM DELIVERED — YOU ARE DELIVERED
Christ has delivered you.
You are a complete child of God.
You are no longer under the dominion of the power that once controlled your life.
What you don’t declare in Christianity, you don’t get.
If you close your mouth, you close your source of abundance, prosperity and miracles.
You must declare and proclaim your personality in Christ.
“Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.” — Colossians 1:13
Declare who you are!
⸻
V. I AM FREE — YOU ARE FREE
You are not in captivity.
You are not under the power of darkness.
You are free!
“Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free…” — Galatians 5:1
If the Son of God sets you free, you are free indeed.
⸻
VI. I AM BLESSED — YOU ARE BLESSED
Be bold enough to say:
“I AM BLESSED!”
God has not changed, and everything He has said concerning your life will come to pass.
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.” — Ephesians 1:3
“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people…” — 1 Peter 2:9
When you wake up in the morning, declare into your life that you are blessed!
If you have the gift of the Holy Spirit, you have access to the greatest blessing.
⸻
VII. I AM A KING
“And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father…” — Revelation 1:6
You have been called to reign.
You are not called to live under the oppression of circumstances.
I AM A KING!
⸻
VIII. I AM RIGHTEOUS
“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” — 2 Corinthians 5:21
Jesus, through His death for mankind, made us the righteousness of God.
When you declare these things into your life, you are not boasting.
You are saying what you are and what God has made you to be.
⸻
POINT 2: WHAT DO YOU HAVE AS A CHRISTIAN?
I. I HAVE ALL THINGS
“According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness…” — 2 Peter 1:3
In Christ Jesus, I have all things.
I am liberated from limitation.
No matter what happened to me in the past, something new is about to happen in my life.
Your life has not ended with your yesterday.
You are not running because of your history of yesterday.
Your history will soon be rewritten!
Your past does not have the final word over your future.
⸻
II. YOU HAVE DOMINION
God has given dominion to us.
You don’t have to struggle to become what God has already ordained you to be.
You must understand what you have received through Christ and walk in it.
⸻
III. YOU HAVE A DESIRE, AND GOD WILL GIVE IT TO YOU
God is interested in the desires of His children when they are aligned with His will.
“And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us.” — 1 John 5:14
Trust God with the desires of your heart.
⸻
IV. I HAVE THE WISDOM OF CHRIST OPERATING IN ME
You are not empty.
God has made provision for you to walk in divine wisdom.
Therefore, you can approach life with the wisdom that comes from God.
⸻
POINT 3: WHAT CAN YOU DO WITH WHAT YOU HAVE?
Knowing what you have is not enough.
You must know what you can do with what God has given you.
⸻
I. I CAN DO ALL THINGS
“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” — Philippians 4:13
Your ability is not limited to your human strength.
Christ is your strength!
⸻
II. I CAN REIGN IN LIFE
Do not allow your problem to cripple your life.
You are a man or woman of tomorrow.
Do not listen to anyone who is against your reigning in life.
God is aware of your mistakes, and He can make a miracle out of them.
Your glorious days are not behind you; they are ahead of you!
There is going to be a comeback.
Do not feel sorry for yourself.
If things are not working out, remember that there is a God who carries your matter on His heart.
There will be a comeback!
⸻
YOU CAN DO EXPLOITS
As a child of God, you can do exploits through the power of Christ.
You can:
* Heal the sick.
* Deliver the oppressed.
* Cast out devils.
* Overcome mountains by faith.
* Demonstrate the power of God.
* Walk in the authority Christ has given you.
“And these signs shall follow them that believe…” — Mark 16:17
What looked impossible can become possible when you walk in the power of God.
Those who condemned you will remember what God has done in your life.
Your story will change.
Your testimony will speak.
Your glorious days are ahead of you.
