Topic: THE ASCENSION (2)
Text: Acts 1: 1-11.

Notes;
The two most talked about event of Jesus is the birth and the resurrection. Not least in importance is the ascension. Without the ascension, the cycle is incomplete.

The implications of Ascension;
❇️ The ascension of Jesus means mission accomplished. Heb 1:1-3.

❇️ The era of greater works is with us. John 14:12.

❇️ The ascension implies that diverse gifts have been released. Ps 68:18.

❇️ The ascension confirms the Lordship of Jesus. Gravity could not hold him down.

❇️ The ascension is a demonstration of what the saints of Gods will experience one day. 1 Thes 4:15-17.

LESSONS ABOUT THE ASCENSION;
1️⃣ There will be no ascension without descension. There would have been no going up without first going down. Eph 4:9-10, 1 Peter 3:18-19.

2️⃣ The role of God’s presence in the ascension. Acts 1:9. The cloud is a meta used to capture the presence of God in the Old Testament. Exo 40:33-34, Acts 10:38. If you cultivate the presence of God, things will work out for you. The presence of God is the most cherished possession any believer can boast of.

3️⃣ The angelic ministry at ascension. Acts 1:10-11. The unseen are more than the seen. What we don’t see mostly control what we see. 2 Kings 6:16-17. The Ministry of Angels were significant all around Jesus from the announcement of His birth.

4️⃣ The protocol of joyful noise. A protocol is defined as the system of rules that explains the correct conducts and procedures to be followed. Joyful noise is a protocol of the Kingdom. Ps 46:5, Luke 2: 7-14, Ps 47:1, Ps 118:15.
