BEYOND EVERY CLOUD
Beyond every cloud, there is a silver lining.
Every dark situation has a limit.
It is darkest shortly before the dawn.
Life’s struggles and problems have an expiry date.
For at the end of the tunnel, there is light.
The sky may be cloudy, overcast,
but it is the outset of a teeming outpour.
It signals springtime,
the bridge from planting to harvest.
The murky, grey firmament above
may be a pointer to a quantum leap:
from comfort zone to conflict zone,
onward to the conquering zone of abundance.
Before testimony comes the test.
Success trails combat in the struggle pit.
The level ground lies beyond the quagmire,
and it is crossed at last.
Beyond every cloud is a silver lining.
Diligent labour precedes great reward.
There is no frivolous fanfare in successland,
for nothing good comes on a platter of gold.
Your take today may not be the desired.
The journey may be long and wearisome.
Let consistency be your paddle,
to steer your boat through life’s torrents.
Hear the sayings of the sage:
for our light afflictions
work for us a far more exceeding weight of glory,
which shall be revealed at the close of age.
So, give in not to despair.
Look forward with expectation.
For diligence with positivism
leads to great transformation
