The Chapel of Christ Our Light (Protestant), University of Lagos is a non-denominational, community-based gathering of all bible believing brethren who work and or reside within the campus and its environs. From the mid 1960s, the fellowship has continued to grow under the spiritual leadership of the Chaplain and the Chaplain’s Assistants and the Administration of the elected Chapel Committee. Our

services, programmes and meetings are arranged by the leading of the Holy Spirit to not only edify and perfect the Members, but to serve the University Community at large, and the city of Lagos as opportunity arises. Our desire also is to see men and women grow and mature into the fulness of Christ. In fulfillment of the great commission of our Lord Jesus Christ as found in the book of Matthew 28:19-20, our various Volunteer groups, Ministries, Fellowships, employed Chapel Staff, elected Chapel Committee and ordained Chaplaincy has and will continue to serve the Body of Christ, by the Grace and Mercy of God and the help of the Holy Spirit. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (New International Version)

As we prepare for our Family Day, we are setting aside this Friday to seek God together in prayer and fasting.

We believe God is intentional about our families, and there are things that can only be birthed through prayer. This Friday, we will stand in the gap for our homes, our relationships, our children, and every family represented in our church.

Come with a heart ready to pray, intercede, and trust God for healing, restoration, unity, and divine intervention in our families.

• It is important to pray and intercede for our families, asking God to bring down destructive vices in our homes.
