Text: Isaiah 60:1-3

To shine is to become brighter, outstanding. we have to arise B4 we can shine. like u have to wake up b4 moving. We must be ready. To arise is to show readiness for good works. our Lord Jesus, Joseph and David shine in their youth. The youthful age is from 20-40. Daniel shine as a youth. He Refuse to defile himself with the king's meat. We should arise, John the Baptist allowed His light to shine John 7:6. Jesus said my time has not yet come but for us it's our time now. Our own time is always there. When we arise God will do what He want to do with us.
THINGS THAT HINDER SHINING
WEIGHT - Prayerlessness, Lukewarmness
LACK OF FAITH in God with all d signs and wonders we have sins. HEB 12:2. You say it's hard to let go of it, but when you make up your mind it becomes easy.
NOT BEING PREPARED - 2Chron 7:3 - he prepared his way with God Prepare your ways in God. Praying and then studying. Pray before you study. Holy Spirit will remind you if what you've read. Make God first.
LIVING AN IMMORAL LIFE
Judges 13:1-5, 19-21, Samson was raised up to deliver Israel with all the power he has,he lost it bcos of the sin of immorality.
HOW TO SHINE
Different level of shining
Being saved genuinely. Mat 7:21
Desire to go extra mile - 1chronicle 4:9-10
Self denial, self discipline, fasting and abstinence. Don't go a day without spending time with your Father - 1 Corint 9:27
Desire to make it in a godly way - prob 23:23
2 kings 7:3-5In the preparation process are we complaining. You may not have abundance but God is with you. Everything
Let not be like Gehazi who because of greed lost it , he fulfilled his destiny as a leaper
As youth, know what you engage in at this our youthful age because we will reap what ever we sow
YES it's our time to shine but are you doing 2 face with God , you might think you're WHINING GOD buy the truth is you're WHINING YOUR DESTINY FROM IT'S ORIGINAL PURPOSE
may the Lord help us
Prayer point: Father anything in my life that is not making me to shine, father please help me and deliver me from them
